SUNRISE SIDE BULLETIN BOARD

American Legion Aux. Post 65 closes

The William F. Weine American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 65 was closed at its June 10 meeting, because of lack of membership.

At the meeting, two state officers were in attendance — Carol Renis, president of District 19, Unit 350, and Marjorie Brunett-Levi, vice president of District 19, Unit 463.

After the pledge of allegiance, a prayer and moment of silence in memory of deceased members was held. The auxiliary books were audited and in order. The auxiliary charter was turned over to Renis, because of lack of member support to keep the charter opened. The members in attendance will become members-at-large of Unit 225, through the department. Other members who wish to still belong to an auxiliary can contact the department Unit 225 or transfer to Onaway Post 317 or Lewiston Unit 198.
