AHS programs on tap this week

Alpena High School Baccalaureate is at 7 p.m. tonight in the auditorium.

Thursday at 7 p.m. AHS choir will perform a concert in the auditorium.

Then on Saturday, Picnic Pops is at 1 p.m. at the Band Shell.

Class of 1952 reunion Aug.10

Alpena High Class of 1952 will celebrate its 67th anniversary this year.

A luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 10 at the 19th Hole Restaurant to commemorate this special occasion. Attendees will be ordering off the menu.

If you haven’t been called and are planning to attend, contact Fritz Stafford at 989-358-2546. Classmates are encouraged to make an effort to attend.

LWV Lunch Bunch Friday

The League of Women Voters of Alpena County invites anyone interested to Lunch Bunch, an informal monthly lunch discussion of current issues and other topics of interest.

The group will meet at noon on Friday at Connie’s Cafe, 11585 US 23 South, Ossineke. No reservations are necessary.

Shriners Club selling onions

The Shriners Club is selling their vidalia onions in front of Tractor Supply on Ripley Boulevard from noon to 4 p.m. now through Friday.

A 10-pound bag of onions is $10. Proceeds go toward helping sick children.

Lab retirees to meet Thursday

MidMichigan (ARMC) Laboratory retirees will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Parker House.

Spaghetti

dinner Friday

Under His Wings Christian Fellowship will host an all-you-can-eat sphaghetti dinner and bake sale from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday.

The dinner,open to the public, will be held at American Legion Post 65, 1326 M-32 West in Alpena.

Suggested donation is $8 per person or $20 per family. Meatless sauce is available. All proceeds go to the church building fund.
