A women’s Mother’s Day brunch at New Life Christian Fellowship will feature a new speaker on Saturday.

The previously scheduled speaker, Rev. Lois Baker, broke her leg and is unable to travel.

Women and young women in senior high school are welcome to attend the free brunch from 10 a.m. to noon at the church, 317 Ripley Blvd. in Alpena. The event is hosted by WOVEN (Women Of Victory Experiencing Newness).

The new guest speaker is Michele Smith from Bellaire.

The meeting will begin with a shared meal. If convenient, attendees can bring a brunch-type dish to pass, but bringing food is not required.
