Alyssa Griffore and Brock LaVergne announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jim and Cindy Straley of Alpena, and Mark Griffore, also of Alpena. The future groom is the son of Ed and Renee LaVergne of Lincoln.

Brock and Alyssa currently reside in Grand Rapids, where Brock is an apprentice lineman for Consumers Power Co. Alyssa is employed as a certified personal trainer and Director of Marketing and Specialty Programs at Allegro Coaching.

They will exchange their vows on Aug. 25, 2018 in Alpena.
