Ashley Elizabeth Smith and Tyler Robert Green announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Michael and Hope Smith of Spruce. The future groom is the son of Sandy and Sheryl Green of Comins.

Ashley is a 2012 graduate of Alcona High School and a 2013 graduate of Alpena Hollywood School of Beauty. She is employed by JC Penny Salon in Alpena. Tyler is a 2010 graduate of Fairview Area Schools and is employed at Cooper Standard.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 16, 2014, at the Greens’ cabin on the Gilchrist in Comins.
