Cera Josephsen and Richard Smith II announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jeff and Brenda Josephsen, and Rita Baker and Don Maskell of Alpena. The future groom is the son of Richard and Patty Smith of Alpena.

Cera is a 2008 graduate of Alpena High School and a 2013 graduate of Lake Superior State University with a major in Business Administration Marketing. She is currently employed by Verizon Wireless.

Richard is a 2006 graduate of Alpena High School and a 2013 graduate of Lake Superior State University with a major in Fire Science and Criminal Justice. He is currently employed by the Michigan Department of Corrections.

The couple, who currently reside in Ludington, are planning an Oct. 18, 2014 wedding in Alpena.
