Melissa Sample and Tyson Dean announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Drew and Lisa Sample and the granddaughter of Lotte Rosenberg of Alpena. The future groom is the son of Tom and Julie Dean, and the grandson of Ellen Trim of Saginaw.

Melissa recently graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She is employed in Sault Ste. Marie as a registered nurse in the intensive care and dialysis units. She is also an adjunct professor at Lake Superior State University.

Tyson is a machinist at Precision Edge Surgical in Sault Ste. Marie and a proud father to Kennedy Dean. The couple plans to marry on Oct. 12, 2013 in Sault Ste. Marie and make their home in Rudyard.
