Casey Lynn Abbott and Robert William Odell announce their engagement. The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Edie Abbott of Hubbard Lake. The future groom is the son of Bob and Marci Odell of Mikado.

Casey, age 29, was homeschooled through high school and competed in several triathlons and a half-marathon. She graduated from Spring Arbor University and Andrews University, earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011. She currently works at Alpena Regional Medical Center in both acute and outpatient rehabilitation.

Robert, age 32, attended Oscoda High School and participated in baseball, football and basketball. He served in the Air Force from 2000-07 and has been employed at Kalitta Air as an Airframe and Powerplant mechanic since 2007. He was active in the National Guard from 2008-13.

The wedding will take place Aug. 10, 2013 at the Oscoda Baptist Church.
