Wildcats blank Oscoda for first win
OSCODA–Twenty four hours made a big difference for the Alpena High girls soccer team.
Kennedy Kaiser and Hannah Burger each scored twice and six different Alpena players scored as the Wildcats rolled past Oscoda 8-0 on Tuesday.
Anna Young had a goal and four assists for Alpena (1-1) and Mollie Girard, Taylor Tolsdorf and Sarah Campbell each had single tallies.
Edie Zann, Alex Villarreal and Josalyn Bailey each saw time in net and combined for a shutout.
“Our finishing was better and we tweaked a couple of things from Monday,” Alpena coach Tim Storch said. “Sometimes you can learn a lot from a loss.”
Alpena plays at 5 p.m. at Tawas on Friday.
