CADILLAC–The Thunder Bay Junior High track teams competed in the Big North Conference Championships on Thursday and even with a little number of athletes, the Wildcats still turned in some strong individual performances.

Thunder Bay’s boys team finished with 49 points and Traverse City West won the meet with 200 points. Thunder Bay’s women’s team finished with 27 points and West won the meet with 178 points.

Drew Seabase set a new school record in the 1,600 run of 4:55.27. His time bested the old mark of 4:56.5 set by Mitchell Day in 2013. Seabase has set three school record this season as he also holds records in the 400 dash and 800 run.
