Hillman splits twinbill with New Lothrup
HILLMAN–The Hillman baseball team split a pair of games with New Lothrup at home on Friday, losing the opener 8-3 and winning the nightcap 13-3.
In the opener, Kyler Moir went seven innings for Hillman, walking one, allowing 10 hits and striking out four.
Jared Juergens was 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored and Kory Henigan was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
Juergens pitched Hillman to a win in the nightcap, allowing three runs on nine hits with four strikeouts and a walk.
Juergens was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored; Moir was 5-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored and five RBI; Henigan was 2-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI; Andrew Funk was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI and Gage Steinke was 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
