Women’s Softball

Budlight earned a pair of wins in recent women’s softball action, sweeping Cutting Edge in a doubleheader.

Budlight won the first game 18-0. Mary Schimmel had a triple among three hits and Tiffany Woloszyk added three hits for Budlight. Christin Sobeck had a double and a triple and Lynn Talaska, Mary Ellen Wozniak, Kelley Miko and Kara Gehrke each had two hits.

Christina Bedneski had two hits for Cutting Edge and Allison Rogers and Miranda Kaplan each added one hit.

In the second game, Budlight won 19-2. Cassandra Shaw had two home runs among three hits for Budlight. Brenna Bourdage had a triple among two hits, Kelley Miko had a home run among two hits, Mary Schimmel had a double among two hits and Tiffany Woloszyk and Mary Ellen Wozniak each had two hits.

Alysha Rogers, Christina Bedneski, Alexis Young and Katie Barrrett each had a hit for Cutting Edge.

Women’s Softball

Budlight recently earned four wins in a pair of women’s softball doublheaders.

In the first twinbill, Budlight defeated Chiefs 21-4 and 17-1.

In the first game, Mary Schimmel had four hits including a home run for Budlight and Krystal Marotta and Christin Sobeck each added four hits; Lynn Talaska and Sara Meredith each had a triple among three hits and Mary Ellen Wozniak and Kelley Miko added three hits each.

For Chiefs, Gretchen Kruse and Kendra Lay each had two hits and Amanda Derry, Suzie Langveld, Megan Kruse, Amanda Timm, Megan LaFlure and Danielle Kuznicki each had one hit.

In the second game, Cassandra Shaw and Lynn Talaska each had three hits including a home run for Budlight. Brenna Bourdage and Christin Sobeck each had three hits and Sara Meredith and Tiffany Woloszyk each had two hits.

Megan LaFlure had two hits for Chiefs and Danielle Kuznicki, Amanda Timm, Kendra Lay and Suzie Langveld each had one hit.

In the second doubleheader, Budlight defeated Page 13-3 and 26-5.

In the first game, Christin Sobeck had two doubles and a home run among three hits for Budlight. Kara Gehrke had two doubles and Kelley Miko, Lynn Talaska and Mary Ellen Wozniak each had two hits.

Amy Page, Mary Smuda and Laura Crane each had one hit for Page.

In the second game, Kelley Miko and Mary Schimmel each had a home run among four hits for Budlight. Kara Gehrke had four hits, Sara Meredith had three hits and Brenna Bourdage and Cassandra Shaw each had two hits.

Angie Page led Page with two hits including a double and Amy Page, Jessica Hammond, Julia Moran, Emily Page and Lindsay Timm each had one hit.

Women’s Softball

The Budlight women’s softball team outscored Joe’s Bar 31-1 in a recent doubleheader.

They won the first game 19-0. They were led at the bat by Krystal Marotta, Tiffany Woloszyk and Julie DePreckel with three hits. Brenna Bourdage, Lynn Talaska, Brooke Spomer, Sarah Meredith and Mary Schimmel scattered two.

For Joe’s, Trina Allocco, Tiffany Tews and Brandy Bouchier each had a hit.

In the second game, Budlight won 12-1 with Christin Sobeck leading the way with a homer, a double and a single. Kelby Miko had a single and a double while Brooke Spomer tripled and singled.

Bourdage added a double and a single while Marotta, Woloszyk and Meredith scattered two each.

Angel Howard scored Joe’s only run of the night off a solo homer while Tews hit two hits. Teammates Corisa Ahee, Jennifer Sherwood and Stephanie Riggs scattered one each.

Women’s Softball

The 19th Hole women’s softball team recently swept Page in a pair of game. They won the first game 21-3 in four innings and the second 18-8 in six.

In the first game, the 19th Hole was led by Alexis Smith went 4-for-4 with three singles and a double. Anna Hilla hit a single, a triple and a home run in a 3-for-3 performance. Leah Ventimiglia scattered three while Jen Lozen hit a single and a triple. Kelli Stevens hit 2-for-2 with a single and a double while Ellie Walker and Mary Newhouse had two singles. Erin Riopelle hit a triple and a single while Jen Ciarkowski and Christy York hit one each.

Page got singles from Julianne Hammond and Anne Page.

In the second game, Stevens led with two singles, a double and a triple. Lozen and Alyssa Smith each hit three while Ciarkowski and Kristen Alexander scattered two. Hilla tripled and singled while Alexis Smith, Ventimiglia andSierra Sauls hit one. Newhouse pitched in with a double.

Amy Page led Page with two singles while Hammond singled.
