ARMC chooses new honorary chairs for the Aliferis Memorial race

Alpena Regional Medical Center has chosen Dr. Steve & Connie Vorenkamp as this year’s Honorary Race Chairs for the Development Council’s 12th Annual Aliferis Memorial Race.

Dr. Vorenkamp is an orthopaedic surgeon and joined the staff of ARMC in 2008. He is a past participant in the Aliferis Bike Race and is a 2013 Physician host for the ARMC Community Walks. Connie is a member of the Top of Michigan Trails Association and, along with all of her other activities, is a member of the Development Council’s Special Prospects Committee.

“We are honored to have been chosen as this year’s honorary chairs,” The Vorenkamps said. “The Alpena community has really embraced us and we are happy to be a part of this healthy activity that pays tribute to a fine physician like Dr. Aliferis. Our family have been past participants and we look forward to seeing the community continue to support this event and the hospital.”

“Steve and Connie are committed to an active lifestyle and are ongoing supporters of the hospital and what it offers our community. We are excited to have them as this year’s Honorary Race Chairs,” said Ann Diamond, ARMC Development Director.
