Astros, Dodgers tied late

HOUSTON–In a battle of late game heroics, the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers fought tooth-and-nail in Game 5 of the World Series on Sunday and were tied 12-12 after nine innings.

With Houston leading 12-9 after eight innings, Yasiel Puig hit a two-run home run to pull Los Angeles to within one and Chris Taylor singled with two outs to tie the game at 12.

The game was tied 4-4 after four innings and 7-7 after five. Los Angeles took an 8-7 lead in the top of the seventh after an RBI triple from Cody Bellinger.

Houston answered back in the bottom of the inning to take an 11-8 lead.

Corey Seager’s RBI double in the eighth made it 11-9.

Game 6 is Tuesday in Los Angeles.
