Dear Uncle Sam, Keep your $250

There is a vote today on giving all Social Security recipients a $250.00 check in compensation of a cost of living increase. I am one of those people that will receive one of Uncle's checks. Keep it. The idea is stupid. I can squeak by without a cost of living increase and would even feel good about it if Uncle Sam would take all those $250.00 dollar checks and reinvest it in Social Security. Over the course of a year $250.00 is not going to help me.
