A young feller was persecuted for marihuana possession. Among the crimes being sentenced were a couple of assaults which elicited less harsh penalties than the lad received for utilizing his "freedom" by using such a hard drug. How are we to illustrate common sense and a respect for law enforcement when a person's use of a relatively innocuous weed is considered a larger crime than violent assault? I see it as a pitiful misuse of police powers, as well as a freedom stifling of freedom. Member CommentsNo comments posted for this topic. Post a Comment |
