Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

"...Every single politician the holds power in this country needs as much scrutiny as Christies is getting..."

Bottom line: The democrats made promise after promise when pushing this thing in 2009 and now that the promises are proven to be bogus, they choose to blame the messengers instead of the message. Pitiful.

Solutions have been out there since the beginning of the ACA debate jaxspp. The President and the democratic congress did not adopt, or even consider, one of them. Now they, democrats, are bemoaning the fact that the ACA is imploding just like those on the opposite side of the isle said it would.

As the dems run from the ACA, they hammer the repubs for not "supporting" the abomination they came up with.

1. Tort reform. 2. Interstate insurance transactions. 3. Expanded HSA opportunities for those who want it.

I can go on and on but it makes no difference to those who won't listen. Didn't in 2009, won't in 2014.

Not a lie though jaxspp, you might want to listen to the testimony today. The report exists coming from CBO but, in my opinion, it is not a complete picture of what is happening.

CBO report on job loss has not taken into consideration many, many factors. I'm not sure what the purpose of that report was.

Posted 239 days ago.

Fox headline "CBO Reports Obamacare to cost 2.5 Million Jobs"

Actual CBO report: "The estimated reduction stems almost entirely from a net decline in the amount of labor that workers choose to supply, rather than from a net drop in businesses’ demand for labor, so it will appear almost entirely as a reduction in labor force participation and in hours worked relative to what would have occurred otherwise rather than as an increase in unemployment (that is, more workers seeking but not finding jobs) or underemployment (such as part-time workers who would prefer to work more hours per week).”

Lies is all they have.

I'll try to read your solutions later Free, don't have time right now.

Posted 239 days ago.

I get it. You, and your fellow Republicans with no solutions, just are incapable of letting go of nothing. I see your 2016 strategy, which failed so miserably twice against Obama. Can we throw enough dirt and hope it sticks?

Every single politician the holds power in this country needs as much scrutiny as Christies is getting. Every single politician with ties to special interest groups and persons and lobbyists who line their pockets. Every politician, in particular, Presidents past and current who have abused the public trust and lied and abused power (George Bush especially)to dubious end, should be investigated and prosecuted for those LIES and ABUSE. So do not give us any partisan nonsense about only ONE administration, they ALL have used and abused their power. Start with the worst practitioners, namely George W. Bush and his henchmen who took us to WAR under false pretense.

So, while the media devotes substantial portions of their prime time news casts to "bridgegate", they completely ignore far worse happening at the federal level. Maybe that's where you get your "whining" narrative, it fits with the B.S. you've been watching that purports itself as "informative". Don't get me wrong, I want Gov. Christie to be investigated, THAT'S A GOOD THING!!!! I also want the administration investigated, THAT'S A GOOD THING!!!

Power corrupts.

"...started to follow suit..."

As far as the Koch brothers, you're party was perfectly fine with all the super PAC organizations that were democratic supporters and, for decades, had a monopoly on the concept. As soon as the republican supporters, (and others), started to practice to follow suit, your buddies "WHINED ALL THE WAY TO THE SUPREME COURT" with "Citizen's United". So don't portray the Koch brothers as anything different what democratic supporters have been doing for decades. Just don't.

Freeman

Oh, sorry, let's see.

The democratic "solution" is blowing a hole in the middle class so the republicans should follow up with more government "solutions"?

Really? Haven't you had enough? CBO commissioner is testifying today as well, you might want to watch a little CSPAN tonight and score a clue.

Just don't get it do you jaxspp. It doesn't matter who was targeted, delayed or harassed, it matters that it happened.

You can stick your head in the sand and pretend that it didn't happen but I'd wait until the 6 investigations are concluded.

Holding government accountable is not considered "whining" by anyone except those who don't care or have something to hide.

New IRS commissioner just testified today, he's withholding his own judgements until all investigations are concluded. He also committed to turn over to the committees of jurisdiction the information that they requested, (Lois Lerner's emails). In short, you democratic "dupee's" should let the investigations, all six, conclude before you RANT about whining.

Posted 239 days ago.

Again, thanks for posting the GOP solutions to all the alleged problems you are whining about. I'll be sure to read them.

Posted 239 days ago.

Here's one, do you want 25 more? Nothing will convince you, especially facts. Your pre-formed opinion will never be changed.

We need to do something if there is something to do something about. Whines because the Koch Brothers did not get their tax exempt requests processed fast enough is not something.

And the winner! Bill Nye the Science Guy over Ken Ham the Creation man!

According to Jaxspp we need do nothing, just take the administration at their word that the investigations are being done properly, after all, HAVE THEY EVER LIED TO US???
