Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

From what I've read, NO Tea Party group put money into Brat's campaign because they all thought he didn't have a prayer, but now that he's won, they're all dancing like they just won the World Series. Remember, Virginia is an open primary - a lot of Democrats voted for Brat, and a lot of Republicans voted against Cantor. And Brat says "Atlas Shrugged" & Ayn Rand are an important part of his philosophy? If he thinks science fiction for teenagers is important, he's - you guessed it - a loon.

Gerrymandering and the Republican House

By Sean Trende - July 1, 2013

I would recommend you read this Real Clear Politics column. It shows actual voting data with regard to gerrymandering and the GOP.

I've read a number of articles that state the opposing position but none of them offer any data to support their claim. They leave that up to the foggy group "many analysts".

On what grounds do you make that assumption hville. Please specify what TEA Party organization backed him and specify the position(s) you have an issue with and why.

"This particular Virginia District is one of the 3 most conservative districts in the entire country hackville." Substitute "gerrymandered" for "conservative" and you might have something...sure, Brat has credentials and education, but if the teabaggers are behind him, he's bound to be a loon. His colors will show soon, Maybe not as crazy as Cruz or Lee, but he's sure to be a whacko just the same...

Lynn Stuart Parramore has written a scathing article about David Brat on AlterNet, (among other things), if you want some fodder for debate.

Her doctorate is in English so, of course, she director of AlterNet's New Economic Dialogue Project. English to economics..... OK.

Mr. Brat has a doctorate in economics from American University. Graduated from Princeton Seminary, worked for one of the largest accounting firms in the world.

He currently is a professor of economics. WOW, what a loon.

By the way, former consultant to the world bank, served on many boards both public and private.

Four words for you hackville dupe:

Ted Cruz...Mike Lee.

You know-nothing dingbat.

Every day with hackville, is dumber than the day before.

Mr. Brat is a far cry from Christine o'Donnell hville.

I would recommend reading his bio before lumping him in your characterization of "loons".

Posted 143 days ago.

Brat may very well win in Virginia, but that doesn't mean it won't be easier for for the Dems - it usually is when they run against a tea party loon..two words for you - "Christine o'Donnell....

This particular Virginia District is one of the 3 most conservative districts in the entire country hackville.

As usual, your stupidity both precedes and and accompanies you.

Like my father told me..."I'm too sick to go to the hospital".

Posted 143 days ago.

Things just got a lot better for Virginia Democrats. Too bad for that arrogant little weasel Cantor, but he's going to be around D.C. - watch for the announcement in January when he becomes a lobbyist for the oil industry or insurance industry or the chemical industry or some such, looking for new ways to put the screws to country...

Their defense...

There defense of the ACA is that insurance companies have been using "narrow networks" for a long time..... Umm I thought the ACA was going to fix that. It all comes down to you get the coverage you pay for, (or I pay for based on your economic status), so I guess we're back where we started.... JUST DON'T GET SICK.

You can also read "Media Matter's" feeble attempt at rebutting the AP story.

Read it if you need a good laugh.

Now, for the nuts and bolts of the ACA as it directly affects Ms. Churchill's condition.

"Obamacare: Many top cancer hospitals off-limits for newly insured" By The Associated Press March 19, 2014 - 06:59 am

"..WASHINGTON (AP) - Cancer patients relieved that they can get insurance coverage because of the new health care law may be disappointed to learn that some the nation's best cancer hospitals are off-limits..."

"..his tell a woman with cancer that maybe her church could help her with medical treatment summed up the GOP perfectly for me.."

Example of my side note. (Sourced my quote from...."Think Progress")
