Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

Does it sound easy to you? Tell that to your democrats then. They can't even cut funding for cowboy poetry or shrimp on treadmill research.

"Vast wasteful subsidies, with NO regard for free market principles, picking winners and losers."

Right, and Solyndra tops a growing list representing billions and billions of dollars more money which Obama flushed down the green toilet as these companies went belly up.

Have you noticed some of the democrat districts? Many of them look like 2 pythons fighting. Democrats love gerrymandering.

I also notice you said nothing at all about The Senate, nor anything at all about zero budget for 4 years. The House has passed all sorts of bills which the Senate has ignored completely...vetoed.

Democrats also want the debt limit to be unlimited...no debt limit. Say something to them about how stupid that is.

Also, what did Fox say about Chrysler and Jeep? I didn't hear one peep from them about that. Neither did you right?

Cut spending. Fairly. NO sacred cows, no bullshiite. No partisan nonsense. Sounds easy to me.

Republicans doing their job!!!??? Protecting their donors, along with the Democrats, is what the GOP, the party of record filibusters, of the lowest approval rating EVER, of social engineering,of 'legitimate' rape, of gerrymandering, of voter suppression, is doing. The sacred Pentagon COW is off limits, when we spend a paranoid amount of 'our' money, the wasteful drug'war', tax breaks for corporations and Big Oil. Vast wasteful subsidies, with NO regard for free market principles, picking winners and losers. Meanwhile, waqgs such as the two prominent right wing conspiracy theorists in this tiny forum find time to spread the paranoia of the misinformed. News flash, Mr. Trump! Jeep is building Jeeps in China. Chrysler is building vehicles where they then sell them.Just like they told us months ago. But suddenly, FOX takes issue, and you dupes just follow along with the FALSE narrative. Oh, and NObody is taking OUR GUNS!

Read the "Forbes" article from June of last year entitled "The Dangerous Myth About The Bill Clinton Tax Increase".

You might find it very interesting as a catalyst for further research.

Freeman

If you are determined to raise taxes, do it when the economy can bear the additional downward pressure, not when it's struggling to even maintain a net/net growth in the workforce.

I mean, seriously, at some point the President is going to have to stop pointing fingers at everyone but himself and get down to business.

Freeman

The difference, Jaxspp, is that those tax increases came during an economic expansion, not recession. China, Russia, India and the EU were not competing with the aggression they are today.

It's that simple; different economy here and globally.

Where is the "obstructionist" talk concerning a Senate that has not produced a budget in 4 years?

How about an "obstructionist" President that has not produced a budget in 4 years that ANYONE would cast a vote for???

Wise up amos57usa, the republicans are not perfect but AT LEAST THEY ARE DOING THEIR JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't remember saying anything about you normanlake but, since you flapped your ignorant lip.

nor"man"lake is still a paranoid schizo who can't "cipher" his way beyond a McDonald's menu board.

Grow up norman. Can't be a child your whole life.

The problem is nobody is willing to step up and do what is needed to put the country on the right track. Dem or rep, indie or private citizen, when the issues are correctly identified and solutions offered, the demagoguery flows like mana from heaven, or *@#% in a sewer.

Amos....President Obama has no intention of growing this economy. Never has. "Jobs bill" is a joke by any measure.

Confused? By quoting Marchionne as he was quoted by the Detroit news? What Romney said was the truth, and here is that truth slapping you right upside the neck ornament.

Your fact-checker was the liar then, and you are a liar still. Seems to be a permanent malady with you.

Hopefully you'll have your straight-arm salute at the ready as Obama once again takes a dump on our constitution tomorrow morning by ignoring both our second amendment and the separation of powers.

Can you see the Kremlin from your house yet? Dear leader can.

Posted 676 days ago.

rs, what is it about Marchionne's comments that confuses you, other than they are in plain English? He cannot build a Jeep in Toledo and export it to China or Russia, so he is building them over there. Again, no mention of shutting the American plants. The Romney lie holds fast.

Free, what is it about the Clinton tax increases, then the economy taking off do you not understand? Republicans have been compared to the sheep in Animal Farm, and rightly so. "Taxes baaaaad, Cuts goooood", without any rationale as to the mathematics.

Hey, why don't you grab that baseball bat and we'll go out and hit a few. It's what's left of our Second Amendment. Most folks use them for protection now, but since we're talking about the good old days, let's play that ancient sport we used to call baseball."

"OK. But I heard baseballs used to be hard and solid. I read it in an old New Yorker I found in the attic last year."

Ha(!), yeah, things change. Bring that old glove too will ya'. It's in the glass display case on the mantle. Careful now.

Sit down little feller and let me tell you a story.

When I was a kid, not much older than you are right now, there were people we used to call reporters.

"Reporters? What's did they do Mister?"

Well, they cared about facts and figures and seemed intent on telling other people the truth, on radio, television and in newspapers. You know what truth is right?

"I think so."

Truth was something that could not be denied you know? Something that was, well, true.

"Is truth kinda like what you are telling me now?"

Yes, it was just like this. For example, if I told you I could fly, hover, and suspend gravity anytime I chose, would that be true?

"Hahaha, no sir. But what happened to those who would report the truth."

They died off.

"Are there no more of these reporters sir?"

There are, but they are few and far between.

"That's sad isn't it?"

Yes it is.

Now who's gonna fact-check the lefty fact-checkers? Maybe we can somehow reanimate Nixon's dog. His name was Checkers right?

"Marchionne came under harsh criticism from Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who falsely suggested that Chrysler would shift production from Ohio to China of the Jeep brand. The Romney ad on the issue was branded the "lie of the year" by fact checker "Politifact."

...If you tell me I cannot make a Patriot somewhere else, I might as well go out of the market."

(Detroit News 1-14-13)

Uh huh. Who's lying now? Oh, the usual suspects, of course. Don't forget that The Muslim Brotherhood is a secular organization all ye useful idiots. Carry on...with your heads held high and your legs pointed straight out as you march, jackbooted, straight into H-e-l-l.

Here's another obvious article tidbit for Normautomaton and Jaxocommie:

"Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne said the automaker plans to build some Jeeps in China for the local market — and later, in Russia."

"As part of our global expansion of the Jeep brand, there are some cars — that because of the price position in the market — can never be made in the U.S. and exported," Marchionne told reporters on the sidelines of the North American International Auto Show. "We're going to be announcing the first step in the globalization of Jeep (in China). There's another one that's going to come in Russia. These things are part of a natural process of expansion."

Marchionne said he will keep "the pillar cars of the Jeep (brand) in the United States. Wrangler is one. The Grand Cherokee is another. These are things that need to be protected because they represent the best and the essence of Jeep.

Normantic: How is what Freeman said straight from the Drudge Report? Which part of it? All of it? Where's the quotation marks and citations? Do you even know what the Drudge Report is? I didn't think so.

57 bags of poo on the floor: You've never had 2 or more thuggies coming at you have you? Further proof that you can't think beyond your camouflaged cave opening.

Does your Neanderthal club shoot poison-tipped mollusks, or does the permanent zone of stench around you keep away all but non-feces-living insects?
