Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

Oh, yeah, RshRill, I am real jealous of you. Have an original thought.

Amne Nobo, on our rights being taken, one bite at a time, like the death by 1,000 cuts. I have been preaching this idea for 30 years, the elites rule, and we are all peons, subservient to the haves. Thin Globally, act locally. Importantly, what are you doing up at 3 a.m.?

Every little chip they take weakens the foundation of our freedom. Every idea that is being sold by the criminals in charge is designed to appeal to our sensibilities. Gun registration leads to a database of gun owners making confiscation as simple as knocking on a door or knocking down a door in the dead of night. The TSA is prisoner training that has gone from the airports to the Superbowl to school dances. Drunk Driving checkpoints have lead to unwarranted stops and searches. Parental rights over their children is now surrendered at the schoolhouse door. The point here is that the government now tells us how to live, how to raise our children, interrupts our travel, monitors our diet, and informs us of the issues they think we must care about. And the list where our government intrudes into our lives is almost immeasurably long and growing. This is not freedom this is oppression and tyranny.

All we have is our own little piece of the world and we must be diligent in our guard. It is our duty to become active voices and inspire others to do the same. Though debate and argument is part of our process hostility and nonstop bickering makes a joke out of us all. We will never all agree on every issue but we all must agree that since 911 our country has been under attack from an enemy within. This enemy crosses party lines and usurps checks and balances. This enemy uses grants and regulations to gain footholds on our communities and dominates by manipulation of the system and social engineering. Our children and grandchildren are under attack from the school systems that accept social engineering grants from a corrupt government that is willing to play the long game to strip us from our freedom.

Norm, since 911 the constitution has been under constant attack from highly placed criminals within our government and others who have accessed our lawmakers via their great wealth. I don't pretend to know the endgame but whatever it is it involves shredding our constitution and driving our economy into 3rd world status. I have harped on this and gone to the mat with many people on this forum to the point I had to leave for a few months. But, the truth remains the same. There is no more left or right, Dems or republicans, no red vs blue. There are criminals in control of our country and we need to stand behind the those who are left fighting the good fight.

Nobo, I am more concerned about our First Amendment rights, than Second Amendment Rights, as we are far entrenched in our gun rights for any attempt at 'gun control', which is political suicide due to the volatile nature of the issue. However, since September 11, 2001, we have slowly given up our right to assemble, and our right to privacy, freedom of speech, and freedom of association. Rights such as these, and freedom of religion, despite certain conservative notions as America being a strictly Christian nation, which is not only untrue, but decidedly against the notion of Freedom of religion. I know in my heart that 'our' guns will not be summarily taken from us, as it would be impossible, so the Second Amendment is safe, no matter the rhetoric on the issue, from both sides. True awareness needs no fear mongering for thoughtful humans to decide for themselves, and every person who cares should seek truth on the matter.

You don't know anything about the NRA. That's quite obvious. You also are not a writer of anything that can be termed, eloquent, or read-worthy.

You're not a very good concealer of jealousy either.

..embody the paranoid, delusional conspiracy theorie of the gullible, and your silly blatherings are tiresome. Oh look! theres another American Bald Eagle, swooping down on a hapless pigeon (rshrill).

The NRA as it exists today, is merely a marketing arm of weapons manufacturers, and adds no real illumination to the issue of gun'control'.The 'attacks on freedom and liberty' you cite, Nobo, are coming from within. I am not concernred about any entity coming to relieve me of my guns, no matter the paranoid delusions of gun sellers. So Rshrill saw a bald eagle. I see them nearly every day. Because you saw a bald eagle, does not mean your paranoid delusions are more American than those of us who see through the false rhetoric on the gun issue, or any other issue. If the media is biased, seek other medis, there are plenty of people out here in internet land that provide responsible journalism, with no forethought as to who they are beholden to. Veterans are receiving letters from the VA, not to own or possess firearms, as determined by mental competency. Veterans, by dint of their being trained to kill, should be checked out to determine competency, just as any other person. rshRill, you

Uh huh. Bump the turntable a bit, your record is stuck.

Your record could become that of a felon without you changing a thing. It'll be like magic. One day you're a model citizen, the next, your a felon.

Thank God for Republicans, (and a few wayward Democrats who are standing up to their freedom snatching, Constitution shredding party).

Norm and 57 could sing a duet lullaby. No doubt some were singing the same tune on December 6, 1941, in Hawaii.

Others sang a similar lullaby the day before "The Night Of The Long Knives" in Germany, also known as "Operation Hummingbird".

Yep, lots of lullaby singers died with a song in their hearts and dissonance in the ears of their non-fool listeners.

If you sent a courier to go and collect the message: "It can't happen here". That runner would be on a fools errand, and would likely have to pass by Norm and 57, grazing in nearby fields while standing in their own waste.

nobo..You are feeding your own paranoia by reading flat earth garbage. We all watched what happened to the California cop who fought the government no matter how well armed or tuff he was. Left wingers who try to take legal guns will be unemployed. Now go to your bunker, surround yourself with tons of ammo and feel free. The Russians are comming, the Muslims are comming , the Americans are comming!

nobo..With all your conspiracy fantasies I am glad you are 'enslaved' under a law that prohibits you from owning a bazooka. You call for truth right after lying about an attack on the 2nd amendment which says nothing about 30 round clips. The slave owning founders are dead and didn't assign owning a machine gun to anyone. You excite yourself with a false premise then expect us to think your fantasy is fact. No, I am not responsible to jesus, allah or Zeus no matter what you claim is 'fact'.

Thank you for the explanation Rshill. I'm paranoid enough these days without alarmist and misleading blogs. Seeking the truth turns out to be a lot more than you expect to learn - truth comes from all sides - not just the side you want to believe - Thanks

I read today at (thegatewaypundit(.)com/2013/02/shock-report-veterans-receive-letters-from-va-prohibiting-ownership-or-purchase-of-firearms/) That returning vets are being denied their rights to firearms. Can anyone else give another ref. on this?

I've seen them snatch smaller birds out of the air right in front of my truck windshield, and it scared the Declaration out of me. Have seen a pair of them teaching their offspring how to fly. Love watching them fish especially. Those Eagles used to remind me of my country. Now I don't feel that way. I want those Eagles to remind me of my country's men and women. The individual citizens.

Am I an Eagle? Could an Eagle be a metaphor for you or me? I hope so. We have an unwelcome rodent problem in State Legislatures. We have them in our nation's capitol running it...into the ground. We need to learn how to hunt and how to fly. These little mammals need to be carried away...with stern conviction, overlapping wings, and sharp, focused, vision.

Was looking out our front bay window about an hour ago. Gazing across the country road over towards the neighbors on the opposite side. Good neighbors. Right then, a very large, Bald Eagle, with a snow white head (just like some of you have) swoops down from over the top of our house, grabbed what appeared to be a black squirrel on the road, did a 180 turn, and flew straight towards that window I was looking out of, up, up, and over the top of the roof back where he came from towards the woods and the river. I went quickly to the back kitchen window to note his landing place, and he was gone.

"The Bald Eagle was chosen June 20, 1782 as the emblem of the United States of America, because of its long life, great strength and majestic looks, and also because it was then believed to exist only on this continent."

I used to get feelings of patriotism and pride when watching these beautiful creatures make their living and ply their trade.
