Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

You forgot to cue the Star Spangled Banner there, Jesus with a bible in one hand, and a gun in the other. Sheep.

I'll settle for some good new rock and roll music.

At our house, we'll choose the Constitution honoring, Bible reading, Jesus Loving, Gun packing, Founder appreciation side....with millions of others

We are emotionally moved, to stand physically firm.

...A drive-by Congress, who takes a 'vacation' when the scary tin hat Sequester looms...Get rid of ALL of them, and pick a random person off the street to replaced every hand sitting one of them. Would we be better off? Cannot be worse.

How about the great politician Erik Kantor, who says "Obamas in MY state using MY soldiers as a photo op". Knock Knock, Erik, anybody there? The state of Virginia belongs to the PEOPLE.

Obama "dismissed" the press yesterday before taking questions from State Governors.

I'm guessing he didn't want this question on camera:

You suck...right?

Universities such as Colorado Tech offer a degree in MSHLS (Masters in Home Land Security), and you too can qualify for a $5,000.00 grant. Howz that for job security?

More and more, I see our media(print, radio, teevee) referring to America as the 'homeland', which, more than any imagined tyranny, brings to mind authoritarian governments of the past, particularly the German government of the thirties on, which I will not mention by the inflammatory name we see also brought up by present day pundits, wags, and yes, even political 'leaders'as a rallying cry to political action. I am disturbed by this trend, which is becoming common in national discourse on issues such as gun'control', immigration, and 'security'. Freedom is lost when we allow these ideologues to comandeer the discussion, and I am not going to take it.

nobo..The last time I can remember being stopped at a checkpoint was in 1975 in Colorado. I won't work myself into a paranoid frenzy over that. Of course we have lost some freedoms but as Norm's sticky keyboard attests to we have gained the freedom of endless free adult movie clips. And despite the republican War on Women they are still free to vote and gays are free to marry have children they can homeschool and teach about god Thingies if they so choose.

If you name these government criminals and the crimes they committed we can work to have them arrested.

As bipedal hominids we have but a speck of time to enjoy or to make ourselves miserable. I CHOOSE to enjoy.

Knock, Knock, yoo hoo! John, John McCain! Is anybody home? "the American people want to know what happened in Benghazi"...for the millionth time. Only McCain wishes to keep what was an incident that killed four 'courageous' Americans. Gues what, the American people deserve justice for the illegal, immoral IRAQ WAR, which caused death and destruction for thousands of American troops, and untold numbers of civilian Iraquis. Nary a whisper from John McCain, in fact when the subject came up during the Hagel 'hearing', John, smiled that smile, and turned away. Truth hurts, does it not?

Amne Nobo, on our rights being taken, one bite at a time, like the death by 1,000 cuts. I have been preaching this idea for 30 years, the elites rule, and we are all peons, subservient to the haves. Thin Globally, act locally. Importantly, what are you doing up at 3 a.m.?

Every little chip they take weakens the foundation of our freedom. Every idea that is being sold by the criminals in charge is designed to appeal to our sensibilities. Gun registration leads to a database of gun owners making confiscation as simple as knocking on a door or knocking down a door in the dead of night. The TSA is prisoner training that has gone from the airports to the Superbowl to school dances. Drunk Driving checkpoints have lead to unwarranted stops and searches. Parental rights over their children is now surrendered at the schoolhouse door. The point here is that the government now tells us how to live, how to raise our children, interrupts our travel, monitors our diet, and informs us of the issues they think we must care about. And the list where our government intrudes into our lives is almost immeasurably long and growing. This is not freedom this is oppression and tyranny.

All we have is our own little piece of the world and we must be diligent in our guard. It is our duty to become active voices and inspire others to do the same. Though debate and argument is part of our process hostility and nonstop bickering makes a joke out of us all. We will never all agree on every issue but we all must agree that since 911 our country has been under attack from an enemy within. This enemy crosses party lines and usurps checks and balances. This enemy uses grants and regulations to gain footholds on our communities and dominates by manipulation of the system and social engineering. Our children and grandchildren are under attack from the school systems that accept social engineering grants from a corrupt government that is willing to play the long game to strip us from our freedom.

Norm, since 911 the constitution has been under constant attack from highly placed criminals within our government and others who have accessed our lawmakers via their great wealth. I don't pretend to know the endgame but whatever it is it involves shredding our constitution and driving our economy into 3rd world status. I have harped on this and gone to the mat with many people on this forum to the point I had to leave for a few months. But, the truth remains the same. There is no more left or right, Dems or republicans, no red vs blue. There are criminals in control of our country and we need to stand behind the those who are left fighting the good fight.

Nobo, I am more concerned about our First Amendment rights, than Second Amendment Rights, as we are far entrenched in our gun rights for any attempt at 'gun control', which is political suicide due to the volatile nature of the issue. However, since September 11, 2001, we have slowly given up our right to assemble, and our right to privacy, freedom of speech, and freedom of association. Rights such as these, and freedom of religion, despite certain conservative notions as America being a strictly Christian nation, which is not only untrue, but decidedly against the notion of Freedom of religion. I know in my heart that 'our' guns will not be summarily taken from us, as it would be impossible, so the Second Amendment is safe, no matter the rhetoric on the issue, from both sides. True awareness needs no fear mongering for thoughtful humans to decide for themselves, and every person who cares should seek truth on the matter.

You don't know anything about the NRA. That's quite obvious. You also are not a writer of anything that can be termed, eloquent, or read-worthy.

You're not a very good concealer of jealousy either.
