Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

They really bashed you on the head good in '68. You then treated the wound with weed.

Now you are Mr. Yassah Massa! Yassa!

Ever what you say Mr. Goobermint...Normisappropriate trusts you and everything you do implicitly now.

If he lived in Cyprus, or any other part of the EU, he would be saying, "don't worry our money is safe in those banks".

In other words, he's a blind, narcoleptic, lying, imbecile.

He's the little pig who lived in the house made of straw. The wolf showed others how unwise of a pig he was. Then ate him all up.

Oh, he's not crying wolf though, he's sounding the all clear.

'Three branches in the Conservative camp'?!! What, so the economy can go completely down the tubes? A tried and abysmally FAILED approach that should never be repeated. Enough of that nonsense. Its like the crazy wing nut take on Agenda 21. And, yes LOOK IT UP and NOT on WorldNetDaily.

In other words, it's all way over his monkey-brained head.

Jax is right, the Clinton formula is best.

Freem was right, we should change the subject. Econ is so boring and vodoo econ is even worse.

Nobody Special where are you. I need you for entertainment before the only other right winger here bores me to death with Fletcher type money talk. Guns, gods and gays are so much more fun.

It looks like Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and Mike Lee are serious abut stopping the gun control legislation. Heroes! They will block a motion to proceed and have enough votes to sustain it.

Rand's last filibuster swung public opinion on that particular issue by 50%. Did ya' get that? 50 per-freakin'-cent!

Back at the ranch, White House tours still cancelled. Folks who have been planning it for months are out of luck, while Biden racks up a $321,600.00 bill just for limousine service in France. 321K? Seems like one could live in a limo for a year, food included, for that.

Maybe it was a fleet of limos carrying an entire Biden entourage...if so, who? Here's my theory about who all may have needed those limos to hang with Joe.

Psychiatrists, firearm lingo tutors, snafu secretaries, oral-foot specialists, co-jesters, and a special limo just for "Old Bessie" and a couple of shotgun shells.

We are "piss-poor" as a nation. Why, "we haven't a pot to*****in"! What's he doing? We need to proclaim every stupid government expenditure from now till we have all three branches in the conservative camp.

Does anyone know where these two expressions above come from? It seems that back in the day, tanners (of leather) used to ply their tanning trade using human urine. A bunch of poor families would all*****in a pot all day and take it to the tanners at day's end. Some families were so poor, they didn't even have a pot to*****in. That's how you knew you were the poorest of the poor, the lowest of the low.

Yay! I mean, awwwww!

Dear Al:

Please explain which race or color one needs to be, to be judged on his/her ideas rather the race thing?

Sign your reply as "Perma-Dumbass" so I don't miss it. If it says Al Sharpton on it, I'll ignore it by sheer habit.

Right Jax, why not? No skin off your nose. You won't object until it touches you, right? How many people do you employ... approximately zero?

What a magnanimous hero you are. Ralph!

A business that need more revenue will most likely raise prices. Will Mitt Romney be hurting if you raise his taxes? The answer is no, so why not do it?

Posted 614 days ago.

There is money available. Unfortunately it is all coagulating in the 1%. Eventually it will all be there. When CEO pay increases hundreds of percent while working American's pay is flat or deteriorating, something is bad wrong. There has got to be a shift some way in dollars. Clinton made the shift, and who was complaining other than Cheney? I've stated before, even George W. Bus, as stupid as he was, questioned the validity of the second tax cut for the wealthy. Cheney said 'This one's for us', of course meaning the wealthy. Wht kind of economic policy is that? Put the tax rates back where they were, the deficit will fall.

I chose an article to reflect the opinion I, personally, agree with. You don't have to agree with it or me but if you are going to tell me I'm wrong then you better tell me, or anyone, WHY.

That, however, seems to be too much to ask of Mr. Read Uponit.

Would you like a couple more sources? I'll be happy to provide them if, (AND THAT'S A BIG IF), you would read them and tell me where, specifically, you disagree. I read the administration reports, I read Krugman's columns, I read conservative opinion and non-conservative opinion. I agree with those opinions that seem to mesh with the experience(s) I have related to economic and political topics. I don't always lean conservative but you would never know it because you would not, ever, engage in an actual discussion.

If I'm not mistaken, normanlake, most of that money went into the U.S. economy, not all to be sure, but most.

So, please, tell us how the economy was damaged by that spending and not by the housing / financial crash.

History 101? You don't study history, you study MSNBC and Huffington Post. You don't balance in anything. You are an infantile putz who likes to argue with out actually making an argument.

Not interested in your commentary anymore, it's tired, retread and ill-informed. My suggestion would be to participate in the markets, business and community then grace us with an opinion based in experience and / or reflection.

I'll say it again, you are one weird dude.

It isn't that you are or aren't "beholden" to his questions, it's just that you are inadequate to answer any of them.

Verily, no one need attempt the marginalizing of your opinion. Your opinion speaks for itself, in Pig Latin and hieroglyphics.

Taxpayers money goes toward WAR, 'Free'man. And, again, I refer you to History (101). The Trillions of dollars spent on WAR and the preparation for WAR will cost America well into this century. You cite one economist and take his word for truth. Also again, I am in no way beholden to your questioning. If I post something here that you do not agree with, fine, but your attempt at minimalizing my opinion will not work. I see through you two. You have gotten nearly every issue wrong since I first encountered this forum. Then the other parrot opens his 'mouth', expressing some ***** notion I have not done my part and paid no taxes, which he knows little about. Then, with little thought to reality, he can marginalize and categorize my life into simple little labels. Again, know nothing nabobs.
