Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

I chose an article to reflect the opinion I, personally, agree with. You don't have to agree with it or me but if you are going to tell me I'm wrong then you better tell me, or anyone, WHY.

That, however, seems to be too much to ask of Mr. Read Uponit.

Would you like a couple more sources? I'll be happy to provide them if, (AND THAT'S A BIG IF), you would read them and tell me where, specifically, you disagree. I read the administration reports, I read Krugman's columns, I read conservative opinion and non-conservative opinion. I agree with those opinions that seem to mesh with the experience(s) I have related to economic and political topics. I don't always lean conservative but you would never know it because you would not, ever, engage in an actual discussion.

If I'm not mistaken, normanlake, most of that money went into the U.S. economy, not all to be sure, but most.

So, please, tell us how the economy was damaged by that spending and not by the housing / financial crash.

History 101? You don't study history, you study MSNBC and Huffington Post. You don't balance in anything. You are an infantile putz who likes to argue with out actually making an argument.

Not interested in your commentary anymore, it's tired, retread and ill-informed. My suggestion would be to participate in the markets, business and community then grace us with an opinion based in experience and / or reflection.

I'll say it again, you are one weird dude.

It isn't that you are or aren't "beholden" to his questions, it's just that you are inadequate to answer any of them.

Verily, no one need attempt the marginalizing of your opinion. Your opinion speaks for itself, in Pig Latin and hieroglyphics.

Taxpayers money goes toward WAR, 'Free'man. And, again, I refer you to History (101). The Trillions of dollars spent on WAR and the preparation for WAR will cost America well into this century. You cite one economist and take his word for truth. Also again, I am in no way beholden to your questioning. If I post something here that you do not agree with, fine, but your attempt at minimalizing my opinion will not work. I see through you two. You have gotten nearly every issue wrong since I first encountered this forum. Then the other parrot opens his 'mouth', expressing some ***** notion I have not done my part and paid no taxes, which he knows little about. Then, with little thought to reality, he can marginalize and categorize my life into simple little labels. Again, know nothing nabobs.

You conservative folk are just pro-pollution aren't ya'? Anti-environmentalist polluters. You want businesses to be able to do whatever they want and dump whatever they want, wherever they want, right? You bunch of capitalist junkies.

Wait till some EPA officers raid your business with a SWAT team and shuts you down. Believe me, you'll appreciate it, whether you're a single family farm, or ship stuff from a widget warehouse.

They'll shut you down, and by the time you pay to defend yourself from some phantom regulations you didn't even know existed, you'll be bankrupt. It's the new American way.

But don't go "back to the drawing board". Get in line at the welfare office. Every town that's any town has one. "To each according to his need" and from each according to how much can be "legitimately" stolen from him.

Who are you to try to have a business of your own anyway? If you want to get a-head, just pour yourself a frothy beer...bunch of complaining

Normethane is such a lightweight, like the big inflatable Underdog in the Macy's Thanksgiving day Parade. Who pays the crew to keep him from floating away?

Someone other than him.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I don't think we will get an answer from Mr. Read Uponit.

I am sure, however, that he will change the subject.

I didn't say that war does not affect the economy.

You have stated that the wars have DAMAGED the economy, how so? Please be specific.

Posted 493 days ago.

Freeman

Could you be any more evasive?

If you don't know just say so.

War does not affect the economy? Bye Bye.

Enough trivialities, now for REAL threats to humans, on World Water Day. It is estimated that the extraction of the dirty Tar Sands oil costs up to 4.5 barrels of water to ONE barrel of oil.

Those whose "fair share" is zero every year have all kinds of ideas...about how to fail miserably at every endeavor they undertake.

Why, even the undertaker will have to be subsidized for this loser below. Those who pay more than zero Federal Taxes will take care of it. No skin off his carrot.

He suggests you who already pay it all, pay a little bit more, while he continues to pay nothing.

Noble and courageous huh? He's still a notable philanthropist though, as nobody gives away as much foolish advice and useless jabber as him.
