Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

So we get another Hannity minded wonder. George, you cannot simply place words together and think your cool little theory deserves consideration as reason. The 9 seconds you mention is about the length of time it takes for right wingers to formulate a conspiracy theory with little proof. Simple minds equal simple theories, and you align yourself with the simple minds like one rshrill, who has been on the wrong side of every issue presented in this forum. He will make YOU out to be a genius, much like hanging out with fatter folk than yourself makes you look thin. Note how the shrill one attempts to bait me with his tiny little worm of a mind. Simpletons, both of you. Guess what? The GOP LOST the election, so get over it and join American citizens, who overwhelmingly deny Conservatism as presented by Tea Party kooks. Look it up, if the word is too deep for a tiny mind.

Well said George.

I guess they're partial to our Constitution and a balanced budget too, and would like to support both.

Are you against those two things?

If so, you might be in search of subjugation, and the erosion of not only your rights, but your country's very existence.

It looks like the Koch Brothers not only provide thousands and thousands of good jobs. They also support all sorts of worthy goals. Good for them.

Soros should take notes.

State of the Union via sound bites. Seems all the libs can only concentrate long enough to hear a 9 second sound bite. So the Dems politic on sound bites. That leaves the Conservatives with the duty to explain what the lib programs are going to cost. Unfortunately it takes longer than 9 seconds so the average lib cannot comprehend the financial ruin these programs will lead to. All they understand is “you had me at free”. First, their mass appeal to the 9 second mind voter translates to an uncanny effectiveness for Democrats at the ballot. The left runs on policies and platforms lacking in substance, but overrun with sound bites and clichés. Every single political issue is broken down into a three or four word clip that can easily be digested by a populace which now sports an average attention span of 9 seconds. BHO woke people up with his sound bites of “Free” while the Republicans put them back to sleep because it takes more than 9 seconds to explain the cost of “free”.

NEW old news...We find that, back in 2002, the Koch Brothers started the "grass roots" Tea Party Movement. Front groups with long standing ties to Big Tobacco began stirring the pot for the present day Tea Party long before it gained national prominence. Curious.

I earned many dollars as a youth, when there were 30 or so catboats racing on Sundays. The boat racers would pay me two dollars each to dive in and scrub the keels so the boats would glide thru the water more efficiently. There are NO barnacles in Thunder Bay. Earned enough to purchase a new Schwinn.

"Rimshot" as in MISSED the basket.

I didn't watch it. It doesn't matter what O' says.

I'd rather bite the barnacles from the bottom of a barge.

Did you ever have to do that Normaritime?

Poor John Boehner, his teeth will be worn to nothing by the time the State of the Union address is over. He will need to chain smoke a whole pack of Marlboros after this...

Not 57 for sure, but someone non-catholic this time.

How about Nor'monk'lake for Pope?

I'd be for that, if the title were first changed to Poop.

Rimshot!

Amos for Pope. It's a good gig, and sometimes you can be wrong, but you are The Pope.

He should just look up, point out the circling buzzards, resign, and call it a night, thus ending the nightmare.

Maybe one day soon we'll have a President much more like Dr. Ben Carson. Am I day-dreaming? If so, George Washington Carver, Frederick Douglass, or Martin Luther King would do very nicely too.

Why is it when lefties, not only got draft deferments, but actually aided and abetted the enemy, they are brave, strong, peacenick, heroes, etc. but when conservatives get deferments, they are cowardly scum? Any of you non-commies out there notice that? Any non-commies out there? Here's a little something for the commies then: Baaaaaaa.

Two Presidential terms for Ted Nugent are in order. You know, just to separate the namby from the pamby, which, as we have already seen below, there's a 100% chance of today.

Obama should invite, as his guests, 20 million unemployed folks, the number-crunchers at Standard and Poor's, any living relatives of Marx and Engels, and a talented bugle player to perform a haunting rendition of Taps.

I'd rather carve a birch tree canoe with a spoon than listen to anything O' has to say. Picking out truths from any of his teletubby talks is like an impossible scavenger hunt, where the only thing hidden is truth.

Posted 431 days ago.

Then there's this from the gOP:

“I am excited to have a patriot like Ted Nugent joining me in the House Chamber to hear from President Obama,” Congressman Stockman said in a press release. “After the Address I’m sure Ted will have plenty to say.” That’s a good bet; apparently Stockman is encouraging reporters to interview Nugent after the speech. Nugent, of course, is best known for making this claim, which was investigated by the Secret Service:

“If Barack Obama becomes the president in November again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year,” Nugent said, according to a video that the NRA posted on YouTube. “If you can’t go home and get everybody in your lives to clean house in this vile, evil, America-hating administration, I don’t even know what you’re made out of."

So there's either going to be an assasination attempt or Draft-dodging Teddy is going to commit suicide, stay tuned.

After the Republican response to President Obama's SOTU, the Tea Party and Rand Paul is going to give a response. The introduction should be something like this: "Thank you Senator Rubio for the response of The Stupid Party (per Bobby Jindal). Now if you thought that was crazy, wait until you get a load of this one....."

Also, you need vocabulary assistance, as your tired little schoolyard names calling and taunts are not clever, as you seem to think, they are merely sophomoronic.

It's comical, pathetic, really, how you (shrill) have been WRONG about nearly every issue that comes down the pike. We all remember fondly, your misdiagnosis of the landslide election, and your unwavering support of the primary frontrunner of the day, during the GOP clown show, as well as your vehement opposition to any sensible legislation, along with the obstructionist Congress. Like the wolf crying boy, and the tinfoil hat wearing Trump, merely crowing at the conspiracy of the day, does not make a thoughtful opinion. I, on the other hand, have been correct about the aforementioned Clown Primaries, as well as the election. Only, I never incorrectly boasted about it, like your severely il;l infromed self. So, in the spirit of teat for tat, go dumpster diving your own self, I do not have time.

See Richard Blumenthal (D) who lied during a political campaign (2010) about serving in Vietnam. That's what a blatant military service lie looks like.

Now, get back in that dumpster, ya' little wienerschnitzel
