Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

An enforcement arm of the government engaging in abusive practice is very serious.

I'll tell you, it goes higher than Lois, she'll spill everything when she gets immunity.

More documents and emails are forthcoming, (after more than a year's efforts to blow off a congressional subpoena).

Your obsession with this is something else. Maybe, maybe, they'll get Lerner on something, which is the GOP goal, to get her in shackles like Susan McDougall. Would save time if you would only speak when something occurs, which would limit your posts to once every 6 months or so.

...when administrations ignore the statute...

That, normanlake, is what you get when administrations that ignore the statute.

The executive branch as, over many years and many administrations, slowly eroded the checks and balances via "executive orders" and over / stupid regulation.

Can you tell me the difference between 'Exclusively', and 'Primarily'? The word was changed from exclusive to primary purely by IRS fiat, with no input from government. That exchange opened the floodgates to misuse, by political agenda.

Republicans call the republican party stupid and whackobirds while other republicans wonder why republicans have no merit. Bring on the clown car again.

Bloomberg March 11, 2014

"..In e-mails being released today by a congressional committee, Lerner wondered why Congress wasn’t getting more criticism, hoped that the Federal Election Commission would “save the day” and wrote that political nonprofit groups “itching for a constitutional challenge” might file a court case that leads the IRS to accelerate the release of specific information about groups denied tax-exempt status..."

USA Today May 2013 same article.

"...That problem was compounded when examiners asked more intrusive questions in what's known as a "development" process. "Some of the development letters that were send were far too broad and include things like asking for the organization's donor list, which is not generally what we do," Lerner said...."

Also asked that applicants provide content of prayers, lists of every speaker at every event and a transcript of their speech. A transcript of all social media posts...etc. REALLY?

Impossible hurdles placed in front of applicants is abusive to say the least.

USA Today, May 2013

Those are her words jaxspp. We now know that she lied. We now know that she is exercising her 5th amendment right not to incriminate herself.

If you can't see the abuses here then you are either blind, in denial or stupid.

I don't believe you are blind or stupid.

"...Lerner said the practice, initiated by low-level workers in Cincinnati, was wrong.

"It was an error in judgment, and it was not appropriate, but that's what they did," Lerner told reporters. She declined to talk about how many employees were involved and whether there would disciplinary action. "I think they were insensitive, or less sensitive than they should have been."

The error, she said, was in assuming that any group with "tea party" or "patriot" in its name necessarily needed more scrutiny for political activity just because of its name. About 300 groups that had applied for tax-exempt status were put into a "bucket" of cases needing further scrutiny, and of those, about a quarter had tea party affiliations...."

I mean really, apply the same standard to all.

You're absolutely unbelievable jaxspp.

You don't agree with a position or a policy so shut them up.

Let's say, for the sake of argument, that all your assertions about the IRS scandal are true. Please explain to me why Lois Lerner took the 5th. Please explain to me why the IRS will not release the emails of those involved.

That's 3, (we'll take your word for it), what about the other 289? What about the existing groups that were harassed?

Please list the number of George Soros' fronts that were targeted?

Posted 133 days ago.

Here's a list of a few of your hero's fronts, all designed to look like regular Americans who are concerned, all backed by the Koch Brothers: Center to Protect Patient Rights (CPPR) Americans for Prosperity 60 Plus Assn American Future Fund Themis Trust SG C4 Trust (Public Notice) Concerned Women for America Generation Opportunity American Commitment EvangChr4 Trust

As I've stated many times, why should I bother? You'll be back with the same non-points 3 months from now. 2014 is the year of me not wasting my time.

Posted 133 days ago.

Freeman

Nothing to do with the Koch brothers. Everything to do with your position that only a liberal voice has merit and is worthy of protection.

You can read can't you?

Still waiting for your list of "Koch brother fronts".

Your defense of the Koch Brothers is breathtaking.

"...we watched the 'hearing'. Over a dead issue..

Dead issue? I thought there were ongoing investigations? Oh, that's right, the President already said "not a smidgeon of corruption", I guess we know how the DOJ and Treasury investigations are going to come out.

"..On the advice of my counsel I decline to answer the question based upon my rights under the 5th amendment..."

Not a smidgeon of corruption? Dead issue?

You didn't watch any of the hearings.

Anyone have the latest number of Obamacare signups?

I mean, there were 20, then 30 then 40 million Americans that we were told "desperately" wanted health insurance. Seems to me that they were not so "desperate" after all. Especially the young Americans who figured out that the President and his party SCREWED them so badly.
