Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

So, when did you check out the book "Stupidity For Dummies"?

Did you ever return it, or are you still in the process of memorizing it?

Normanlube...You also rely on petroleum for most every aspect of your life. Take a look at a list of all the products made from petroleum. Even the computer you type on is made from it.

However, judging from your posts, it could be that your computer is made from wind, which would also make it imaginary and invisible. Or, it could be made from the sun, making it too hot to handle.

With surety, what I definitely know about your computer is this. No matter how windy or sunny it is, nothing ever lands here from it that isn't drivel without direction or blustery BS.

You be an air-headed rebel without a cause.

'Free'man, I hate to burst your bubble, but I watch very little teevee, and channel flip my way through til I find substance. So take your Blaze / WND take on things and OPEN your mind a little, at least squint through your tiny little brain to see actuality instead of fantasy. If you do not know enough about me through my posts, let me be clear, I am Anti War, primarily, and pro humanity. I see clearly through the vehement capitalism you stand for. People mean more to me than corporate profits. I love America and the piece of Mother Earth we reside in. If you have a problem with it, c'est la vie, and enjoy your life.

ANOTHER oil spill disaster in Alberta Canada, Every tree in 100 acres was deadened. The pipeline was a relatively NEW one, so much for safe transport of dirty oil products! And you anti-environmentalists want to allow Canada to cut through America so Canada can reap the rewards of the open market. Jobs? Miniscule in comparison to the probable / possible damage to America.

By the way normanlake, you rely on those corporations for virtually every aspect of your life. 99.9% of corporations are excellent corporate citizens.

DO SOME FRACKING HOMEWORK!!!

What, exactly, do you "think" will be the consequences to emissions caps?

What will be the cost to the electricity consumer?

What will be the cost to manufacturing?

What will the alternative to carbon based fuels be and what will their use cost the environment?

What actual good will capping emissions do?

Will the rest of the world "play ball" and if not what disadvantage will our economy face in the global economy?

ALEC is a group of state level legislators only. That leaves out everyone in DC. They've been around for 40 years.

If the Earth is our Mother, who is "our Father", Mars?

You need to "bail out" of your idiotic ideology.

Obama is killing our economy as well as our economic freedom, on purpose. He is a domestic enemy, and we really need for some our law makers to abide by their oaths, and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

What does carbon emissions cap have to do with fracking? With or without it you are going to pay more with a dollar that is worth less and, by the way, purchase healthcare with a "subsidy" that won't cover it. Or you could, like almost every young person I've discussed this with, pay the fine.

Either way, normanlake, the people are going to get screwed by this administration. I think they owe us a dinner.

Do you think ANYTHING through norman,,,,,,,,,,,,lake?

Freeman

Do you know anything about ALEC normanlake?

How does it differ than its progressive counterparts?

We have had a "pro worker" policy for 60 years in this country and we have seen industry after industry fail and leave our shores. Greater balance is required.

Conservative is not a bad word normanlake. Conservatism seeks smaller government and more personal freedom and responsibility. If you are against that then I just don't know what to tell you.

With regard to amos57usa's "women smackdown", amos, the law is the law. You can have an abortion if you choose, you just cannot ask the taxpayers to pay for it.

....and, Shrill, 'bailing out' was a huge part of the Crash of the 1920's and thirties...

No 'economy wrecking' 'Free'man, simply taking care of the Earth, our Mother. Frack you and the corporate shills in 'our' government.

ALEC, the (American Legislative Exchange Council)= the GOP, the 'Grand Olde Party). The 'conservative' wing of the GOP, specifically. It appears that all legislation proposed and enacted by these extreme pro-business, anti-worker laws in (America) go exclusively through ALEC. Original thought and governance of, by, and for the people is a myth.

I bailed out of the stock market the day after Obama was reelected, because there is nothing I would put past him, and everything he does further weakens this anemic economy. As a result of what he has done and hasn't done. I have less than zero trust for him. Wouldn't even call him so much as an ally of the USA. I call him a domestic enemy.

Obamacare will not improve any aspect of the healthcare system that I can see. Rates are increasing faster than before it. The CBO says there will never be less than 30 million people still uninsured for the next twenty years under Obamacare.

If you have 49 employees and would like to expand what do you do? You sit tight. If you have over 50 employees, you cut all your full time people to 28 hours or less per week. That hits those already struggling to make ends meet with a huge decrease in income.

Couple that with ridiculous gas and food prices (high gas prices affect the price of everything that must be transported to markets), Then add the diminishing purchasing power of each dollar due to being diluted by trillions of extra dollars printed by the Fed, and what was already tough going for workers and business, becomes quicksand and tar pits.
