Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

Individualism: Yes

Collectivism: No

And according to the CBO, at no time during the next twenty years will there ever be less than 30 million people who are still not "covered".

It's a power grab, a behavior grab, lots of new fines and taxes, and non-doctors deciding what people can or should have done. There will also be a shortage of doctors as many opt out and quit before this train actually wrecks.

It's a mammoth piece of crap and the democrats are going to pay dearly for shoving it down our throats. Unions simply marched in blind goosestep helping to get it passed. Now they want out...permanent waivers etc. Further evidence of how stupid, gullible, and incestuous they are with the democrat party.

You don't get my objection to Obamacare? Not surprised. There isn't much you do get.

I like freedom. I don't like being told what to do. That's one reason I am my own boss. I am already forced to pay an awful lot in taxes. That's a lot of money my family could use. Now they want to force me to buy something I don't want? Then they want government bureaucrats telling my doctors what I can and can't have done?

Then they want the people who are struggling the most, who actually work for a living to have their hours cut from 40 to 28? I have kids that fall into that category.

NO! That no is for me, and that no is for them.

What has kicked in Medicare rationing, and worker hour cutting! My parents are hurt and my children are hurt. When it fully kicks in, I'll be hurt too.

Name one person who is now covered that wasn't before.

It hasn't even kicked in yet. The exchanges aren't even opened. They are supposed to open in 2014. By November of 2014, people will really be screaming against it, even more than they are now. The majority of people are already against it, and Obama lied his way all the way through getting it "passed" with zero Republican votes. Every word he said about it was a lie. Every single word.

A growing number of Unions are also against it, including the IRS Union. Last month we had 20-some thousand full time jobs "created" and about 90,000 part time jobs created.

There will be million of workers having to have two part time jobs. 28 hrs + 28 hrs = 56 hours per week. Yay! More money for them. Less time raising and spending time with their own children.

Eat crow, instead of crowing with no substance. A growing number of States are reporting LOWER than expected health care premiums due to 'ObamaCare, including Willard Romney's state, Massachusetts. New York, Oregon, Louisiana, Montana and California. 18% less than past projections. I do not 'get' your objection to the Affordable Health Care Act, since so many folks are now covered that were not previously. America is for ALL the people, not just the type people YOU associate yourself with, wannabe.

Breaking News: There was a mass tea drowning at the DNC today. More details as they come in...it's a very "fluid" situation.

Dear DNC:

Enclosed is my donation. It's a roll of toilet paper because you are all so sh*tty. That other little thingamabag is a tea sample. Make a big batch, stick your heads down in it, and inhale deeply.

Disrespectfully,

The economy IS tanking, but food stamps are booming.

Posted 433 days ago.

The article didn't say. The point was the $20 million dollar investment when everyone knows the economy is tanking.

Since "It takes a village" to raise kids, rather than a Mommy and a Daddy, it's no wonder we have so many "village" idiots in this country.

rshill7

Of the 550 employees you've mentioned, can you tell us how many are full time and how many are part time? The way you said it seems misleading.

Posted 433 days ago.

rshill7

Just imagine the millions of dollars in food stamps they'll be taking in! They might be able to exchange those little stampies for real money.

Food Stamp folk will be buying lobster, orange roughy, prime rib, and all the best cuts of steak. Cha-ching!

They might have to "beef" up security though. I think there's a decided lack of Daddy's in those areas. Daddy's tend to help raise kids rather than letting the hood raise hoodlums.

Yes Jaxylophone, they might be smarter than you. I'll flip a coin. Meijer can be heads and you can be tails.

Wag on.

Posted 433 days ago.

The Meijer's are probably a lot smarter than me. They just opened a supercenter at 8 Mile and Woodward employing 550 full and part-time people. And they are planning another one in Detroit. I guess they didn't hear investment right now is bad, we should go tell them.

Gotta monitor my computers Jaxie, and this paper is just a click away. I have an opinion and like expressing it.

You've heard it said that folks should not talk about religion or politics. Here's the thing. If we never discussed religion or politics, it wouldn't be very long before we lost the choice to discuss either.

Government is like The Blob. It's oozing into everything. Everything.

We gross a lot more than that in a year. Profit is a horse of a different color though, but we get by. All that money we pay for products, shipping, advertising etc. really adds up.

One huge expense each year is the law forcing me to pay into Government Ponzi schemes via income taxes and property taxes.

Healthcare taxes and fines are right around the corner too, and millions more people will become part-timers as a result. More than twice as many part time jobs were added last month than full-time jobs. And for every person that gets a job, 1.5 persons become new food stamp recipients.

Yeah buddy, this economy is firing on all cylinders. Would that it could fire Obama without an act of Congress. You know, give him a pink slip. He'd look great in it.

Jaxie'd look great in jackboots and an acorn helmet.

Good, you make a thousand dollars a day, which equals a $365,000 a year. Yet you grace us every day with your presence. How lucky we are.
