Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

But, dear pretender, I check in daily with the Blaze and WND, and they mirror your pathetic postings.

People like yourself, who HATE constantly are often the last to realize their own feelings. I am here to tell you that your contempt for other faiths exposes your disdain as un-American. Wave the flag and PRETEND.

While some people trumpet biblical fantasies, and predict "Egyptian rising against Egyptian" in hopes of fulfillment of prophesy, President Obama has called Morsi and informed him that America supports no particular group and only Egyptians can decide how Egypt will be run, preferably by democratic means. Do not be so happy to rise up to heaven, where Barry Manilow music plays constantly, My version of HEdoubleL .

Stop hating so much OK? Take the word Hate itself and shove it up your a-s-s. Take the word racist as a hate chaser up that same a-s-s.

The only hate I ever hear or experience around here is from the left. You and Jax dish out almost all of it. If you can't handle disagreement, that's your problem.

So, whether you mind or not, I'll continue expressing my own opinion. Your stupid lies don't affect me. They do affect you though.

If you have a problem with some web sites out there, tell them. I am not them. I am me, and proudly so. I like me a lot. Very comfortable in my own skin. If you weren't such a dumbass, and a failure at life, you could like yourself too.

Sorry, but your lackluster loser life is/was not my fault. Deal with it yourself and leave me out of it.

How stupid are you rshrill? I have said NOTHING against Christianity. I tell truth, when you tell your selective take on the subject. If a person is afraid of the truth , which appears to be the case with your silly postings, I cannot sit idly by in this forum and accept your revisionist take when I have the wherewithal to refute your nonsense. Citing your King James is PROOF OF NOTHING, it is simply your faith in the words of those who profess to speak the word of 'God'. History illustrates TRUTH, from hindsight, and your denial of history shows me you do not care. Go wave the flag and pretend you are a Patriot.

The Blaze and WND are not reliable sources, and hatred is not only unkind, but un-American. Anti-Muslim = anti First Amendment. Weird notions of professing to be 'Christian', when expressing hate illustrates a lack of humanity, and a definite lack of understanding of Jesus and his message. The murder of folks by others with a different view is HATE, pure and simple. History has shown us the methods of cruelty used to bend others to the will of Zealots, and adherence to ANY religion that shows no respect for other faith is foolish and dangerous. I suggest a open minded approach to understanding History. Inflammatory rhetoric gets us nowhere in the quest for true understanding of human nature. Enjoy the Fourth of July, even though some of you FAIL to 'get' what it means to be American, let alone HUMAN.

"Tensions in Texas ratcheted a bit higher Tuesday as activists on both sides of the abortion issue squared off at the Capitol in Austin for a somewhat odd religious-themed shout-down.

Gov. Rick Perry has called for a second special session to pass an abortion law that would prohibit the procedure past the 20th week of pregnancy.

Pro-choice protesters shouted, “Hail Satan!” as an attempt to drown out pro-lifers’ rendition of “Amazing Grace.”

A Texas blogger, Adam Cahm, captured the scene on video."

Many different outlets are publishing reports about Benghazi. Some Libyans have documentation showing that Morsi financed, planned, and help orchestrate the attacks on Benghazi in a failed attempt at kidnapping Ambassador Stevens to exchange him for the Blind Sheik, who is imprisoned in the USA. Attackers at the complex were recorded saying, "...we were sent by Dr. Morsi."

Obama, amidst the largest protest in human history, sides with Morsi, whose goal is to implement Sharia Law on Egyptians. The Egyptian military will side with the protesters.

Morsi must have informed Obama that if he's going down, he's taking Obama with him. No wonder we can't interview any of the survivors.

The Bible predicts civil war in Egypt in Isaiah 19:2:

"I will stir up Egyptian against Egyptian-- brother will fight against brother, neighbor against neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom." (Isaiah 19:2 NIV)

Let's take a poll:

1. Of the two people, RS and Jaxspp, which would be most likely to join the Michigan Militia and subvert the government?

2. Of the two, RS and Jaxspp, which would be most likely to be shot in the back by his own troops?

3. Jaxspp and RS are in a bar. A homosexual is being bullied by other people in the bar. Of the two, which would be most likely to stand up for his fellow American?

Poll respondents get an autographed picture of Clint Eastwood talking to an empty chair.

"It cannot be emphasized too clearly and too often that this nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religion, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason, peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, prosperity, and freedom of worship here." (Patrick Henry)

"Also about 2X more Christian." (Jaxalgebra)

I did take a second or two to solve for "X" in your little algebraic equation quoted above.

X = -333

Thanks for the examples of republican prognostication. Unfortunately nobody can predict the future. The thing about economic booms is that you don't know your in one until it collapses, (i.e. dot com bubble), and you feel the subsequent results.

An exception to that was the housing bubble that many people warned was about to collapse because they understood the mortgage backed securities being generated were "paper profits" with no real value, (real in the "real property" sense of the word).

Couple that with the massive consumer wealth tied up in the ever increasing "values" of their homes and you get a perfect storm.

To get the same effect on the economy from the dot com bubble bursting, you would have had to have 50% of the U.S. population invested to the tune of 300K per person in those companies that failed. (One big government legacy courtesy of President Clinton and the Democrats).

The opinion of an animal who actually celebrates out loud when people he disagrees with dies doesn't concern me.

I'll continue being me. You go ahead and be whatever it is you are.

It's also interesting that you mention "80 years" as the time frame for your question.

If you look closely that is about the start of government's manipulation of the federal tax code to start picking winners and losers.

The taxing authority of the federal government has become a economic tool instead of a source of funding for government operations. The President is right, a citizen should be able to complete their taxes on a post card and mail it in. That was the original law. It costs me about $1000 per year to have my taxes prepared for me. I consider myself fairly savvy but I cannot complete the process and be 100% sure I am in compliance.

Your views might change if you were to walk in my shoes for a fiscal year.

I truly get your points but there is no causal relationship to massive government spending and organic economic growth.

It has always been a stop gap measure that has proven, (with some exceptions, TVA for example), to be a net negative in the long run.

Ponder the effects of no QE 2 and 3. I can imagine interest rates rising and investment, ESPECIALLY in the housing sector, recovering much sooner.

The instability created by the current administration by pushing the Affordable Healthcare Act, tax increases and a non-existent energy policy have created the worst recovery in modern times.

Yes, lots of government spending but as a percentage of GDP it fell, not because of anything the government spent money on.

The tech and financial sectors drove the economy with innovation and investment. That is my point. Had those sectors, whose prosperity owed little or nothing to government spending, not been driving the economy, there would have never been a surplus.

We can see all of what I've argued evidenced in our economy today.

As I've stated before RS, you are the most un-Christian person I've ever seen. You are like Charles Manson calling someone a bad guy. I can't think of one spot where you have demonstrated a Christian-like attitude. Your God is money, as proven over and again.

Rep. Newt Gingrich (R-GA), February 2, 1993: We have all too many people in the Democratic administration who are talking about bigger Government, bigger bureaucracy, more programs, and higher taxes. I believe that that will in fact kill the current recovery and put us back in a recession. It might take 1 1/2 or 2 years, but it will happen. (Congressional Record, 1993, Thomas)

Rep. Bill Archer (R-TX), May 24, 1993: I would much rather be here today supporting the President and I would do so if his proposals could expect to increase jobs and the standard of living for Americans, but I believe his massive tax increases will do just the opposite. (Congressional Record, 1993, Thomas)

Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-GA), July 13, 1993: Small businesses generate the bulk of this Nation’s new jobs. And they will be the hardest hit by the Clinton tax-and-spend budget. Because, when you raise taxes, you kill jobs. (Congressional Record, 1993, Thomas)
