Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

If that's the case, other than Ronald Reagan, whom you constantly worship, every time a new candidate entered the GOP field in 2012 you prostrated yourself, most especially when Rick Perry got in.

By the way, I got those synonyms straight from Merriam-Webster. I hereby give belated credit where credit is due.

In mathematical terms, sycophant squared, possibly cubed.

What you do is even worse than your regular sycophant. You worship him from afar and take up for him without even being asked or rewarded. A sycophant with initiative but no ambition :-)

A sycophant does these to advance. I could flatter him all day, and deservedly so, it would not help me one iota. You have used the word in error, been called out on it, shot down. That is, a normal turn of events.

We can go with your definition. Again, when am I going to be in a position to brown nose, apple polish, or any of the other items with Obama? As with all things, you make no sense.

By the time you're done, you can find me in the Zzzzzzzzzz's with visions of sugarplums dancing in my head.

Does one have to meet someone to flatter them? Does one have to meet someone to be servile towards them? Look up the word servile now. Heck, go through all the S's until you crash into the T's.

I was particularly struck by the part that said "Making false accusations". Is that no longer your middle name? If not it should be. You can share it with Normuckraker.

I guess you didn't read on to the synonyms, but wrote down the first one-liner you saw. Who's the idiot? You, same as always.

Posted 441 days ago.

Maybe you can find some more words to misuse, but I'm sure everyone will agree, including yourself, you are a poster child for paranoia. Is there any part of that definition that isn't you all the way?

Posted 441 days ago.

Your use of the word isn't even correct:

Definition of SYCOPHANT

: a servile self-seeking flatterer

What would I gain by flattering Obama? When will I ever even meet him?

You've made a fool of yourself again by trying to appear to be an intellectual.

Sycophant synonyms: apple-polisher, bootlicker, brownnoser, fawner, flunky (also flunkey or flunkie), lickspittle, suck-up, toady.

On the other hand you have what we call the sycophant who lets his master think for him. The master can do no wrong in the "mind" of said sycophant regardless of evidence to the contrary.

The sycophant needn't even open his eyes as his master is his eyes, his ears, and brain. So, what's the purpose of a sycophant? The same as that of a useful idiot, whose usefulness is debatable.

Per the WHO:

1.tendency to experience excessive self-importance, manifest in a persistent self-referential attitude; 2. preoccupation with unsubstantiated "conspiratorial" explanations of events both immediate to the patient and in the world at large.

Paranoid personality disorder (PPD) is a mental disorder characterized by paranoia and a pervasive, long-standing suspiciousness and generalized mistrust of others. Individuals with this personality disorder may be hypersensitive, easily feel slighted, and habitually relate to the world by vigilant scanning of the environment for clues or suggestions that may validate their fears or biases. Paranoid individuals are eager observers. They think they are in danger and look for signs and threats of that danger, potentially not appreciating other evidence.[1]

They tend to be guarded and suspicious and have quite constricted emotional lives

Pretty soon the Dow might reach the level it reached in 2007. Good point Jaxodummy.

The employment levels might reach the point where they were in 1978 too. Ooops, that already happened.

"Paranoia /?pær?'n???/ (adjective: paranoid /'pær?n??d/) is a thought process believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion. Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory beliefs, or beliefs of conspiracy concerning a perceived threat towards oneself. (e.g. "Everyone is out to get me.")

Making false accusations and the general distrust of others also frequently accompany paranoia. For example, an incident most people would view as an accident or coincidence, a paranoid person might believe was intentional."

The Dow crashing is not going to help me either. Neither is WWIII. My business is my major investment currently. The cash is in the most secure investments I can find.

Currently I'm heavily invested in hammers, sickles and a very effective Chinese language course.
