Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

Trans Pacific 'Partnership'!

Now, as a democratic talking point, they point to 40 some odd months of positive job growth.

HELLO, when you start in such a whole, you could make their numbers without doing much of anything.

C'mon man!!!

So, in 2008 the economy is in crisis. Banks are being bailed out, housing market crashes and personal equity plummets. The auto industry comes to D.C. for help. The FED starts printing money like crazy. Jobs are being shed at the rate of 700K per month.

WHAT DO THE DEMOCRATS PUSH AS A MAJOR PRIORITY?

WHAT CONSUMES MOST OF LEGISLATIVE AGENDAS IN 2009?

WIT THE "AFFORDABLE" CARE ACT

jaxspp, the expansion under President Bush pre dates the 2008 economic crisis.

The problem is that the households that need the assistance has exploded under this President.

Second, where did you get your information with regard to "marching orders"? Better check your source or, better yet, post it so we can all read it.

Please post the stimulus numbers and their source. I need a good laugh.

The GOP announced their marching orders yesterday, and what is one of their top priorities, after cutting off health insurance for people with pre-existing conditions?

Yep. Abortion. Not the economy or jobs.

RS and Free both suffer from the same disease. 2008 Alzheimer's. They have completely forgotten where the world was in 2008 and where it is now. All that is left is two souls standing and yelling "Help us, Obi Wan Obama, you are our only hope!" without explaining what that something is and without explaining how to get it past the Tea Party.

I would post the stimulus numbers, but why waste my time? Look at the audience I would be trying to convince.

Free laments food stamps, and as per usual leaves off the qualifications for food stamp eligibility were expanded under the Bush administration. A logical person would conclude an expansion of the pool, and increase in participants, but we are talking Free here.

As per usual I only see rock chucking from Free and RS, no solutions. Only GOP solution I see is more trickle-down so all I can figure is the overseas bank accounts of the ilk of the Romneys of the world are getting low.

$6 trillion and counting, with stagnant real unemployment, rising welfare, pitiful GDP growth etc.

Again, c'mon man!!!

Normy, Clinton and Gingrich put the skids on the slide with welfare reform. Get your facts straight. Remember Clinton's pivot to the center after the democrats were decimated in the midterms?

And last time I looked, Ronny didn't spend $6 trillion. C'mon man!!! Starting to really look foolish.

The 'fun fact' you mention and blame on ONE man, that of Food Stamp participation has been worsening since Saint Ronnie began this slide into mediocrity. You cannot pretend at reasonable thought as long as such statements come out of your brain. Poverty is real, people are hurting, and 'conservatives' are all socially engineering in lieu of any 'job creation'.

Tell us, supply siders, what do you think of the semi~secretive Trans Pacific 'Partnership' now in the works, that Corporations are assisting our 'leaders' with?

After eight years of the idiot Bush, Mccain says "the economy is fundementally sound" and it crashes two hours later. Freeman thinks we should have voted for more of that. Or is that just bait and switch for the real reasons like voter suppression and a few hundred more abortion laws. Bobby Jindal said the republicans have to stop being stupid, they didn't.

Where is Nobodyspecial? I hope he didn't take his pistola to a movie theater and 'stand his ground' against a dad texting his kid. Another mother and child are alone thanks to the right wing nuts. Oh well, Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi.

Now freeman are you being two-faced? Just a little while ago you and your cabin boy shrill were here bragging about how well the both of you were doing, making money hand over fist, just rolling in the dough, making the big bucks.

Now it’s all gloom and doom. I’m seeing now, half the time you are untruthful and the rest of the time you are just plain stupid.

Another "fun fact" of the Obama recovery....20% of American households are on food stamps.

1 in 5 U.S. households require assistance.

Not so fun is it.

You have got to be kidding me foot.

If you took every nickle from every rich person in the U.S. you'd not make a dent. C'mon man.

Growing the economy is the key and your guy has done everything in his power to put a damper on it. Time to stop with tired old big government arguments.

Freeman, technology and free trade policies has taken the biggest toll on the USA economy. Thousands of jobs have been sent to Mexico and overseas in the last ten years. What would have taken a hundred person manufactures now takes twenty to do, I know this as a fact I work in manufacturing and we have allowed these remaining twenty people to be sent to another country. Then lowering the tax rate on the rich made the deficit higher.

The only thing President Obama has done right is to double down on the Bush/Cheney drone war.
