Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

Yeah. Cut spending. Cut it down to Reagan levels. You can't be a democrat without being a fool who sees real money as monopoly money. It's not theirs so they don't care. Take it from anyone and everyone other than they. As long as the skin is removed from someone else's nose. Anyone better off than them.

Hville. Austerity is caused by Keynesian economics you stupid dumbass. What are countries supposed to do spend themselves into oblivion?

You decided you had to come in here one more time and demonstrate what a died in the wool fool you still are huh? Well, you succeeded.

Where austerity works is by getting spending back in line to prevent economic free fall and total collapse, you stupid, commie, Keynesian, freak.

hville is kicking your butt with Adam Smith quotes RS.

Carter killed the B-1 bomber. Reagan revived it. It did not see combat until 1998. Just one example of wasteful Reagan spending to artificially pump up his credit card economy.

"It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion."

RS advocating Reagan's massive increases in government spending while calling for Obama to cut spending. You can't be a conservative without being a hypocrite.

"In regards to the price of commodities, the rise of wages operates as simple interest does, the rise of profit operates like compound interest. Our merchants and masters complain much of the bad effects of high wages in raising the price and lessening the sale of goods. They say nothing of the bad effects of high profits. They are silent with regard to the pernicious effects of their own gains. They complain only of those of other people." Adam Smith, The Wealth of Nations

"George Zimmerman was taken into custody Monday after an apparent domestic altercation at a home in Lake Mary, Florida, police said.

"As of right now, he has been placed in investigative detention," Lake Mary police spokesman Zach Hudson said.

Hudson said three parties were involved in the altercation."

Well, I wander in hereto find shrill still spewing much of the same union hatred and trying to rehabilitate one of the slimiest senators ever elected, the vile Joe McCarthy...Keynesian economics a failure? What do you think got us out of the great depression, idiot? Austerity? Show me where THAT'S worked...

Hey, I think I'll build a factory and hire a bunch of folks. It should only take about twenty years before I'm ten million in debt to lawyers and ultimately denied permission by some Federal Agency.

Woo hoo! Utopia! Arcadia! Hey brother can you spare a dime?!

Crappy days are here again!

You apparently know nothing about Adam Smith's invisible hand of Capitalism. "The shift in the global automotive market" :-) American car companies were making crap that fell apart quickly and was undependable, while costing too much. Yeah, much of that is due to Unions.

Customers decided they wanted much better quality for much less money. They also wanted better gas mileage. Same thing with the tire industry. People naturally want the best product they can get for the least amount of money. More rocket science for ya' there.

If that's funny to you it's because you know nothing about real economics or how people decide what they are going to buy.

Please paint for us your idea of democrat Utopia. Does it exist or is it simply a race to the bottom of every category.

Keynesian economics is a proven failure. That must be what you studied if anything. Adam Smith economics works, Keynesian economics does not. You can hold on to it till your dying day and our country's dying day. It is a fools idea on a fool's errand, and only braindead, brainwashed ninnies still worship it.

If you're going to spout BS cliche's at least be original. You seem to have a continuous loop of subversive, untrue BS dancing in your head, which you like to spout when you run of lies and obfuscation. Any sugarplums in there or simply hatred for all things successful, for all things tried and true? Anything other than jealousy for anyone doing better than you?

It is growth that pays for all of those things. We need growth. What we have is stagnation. That won't pay for anything. It causes us to go deeper and deeper into debt, with no seeming end in sight other than default or total collapse. It's like thermal runaway which gets "progressively" worse and feeds on itself and us.

Yep, you'd like to bake a cake using a SPAM omelet recipe. The rapid success America achieved following our Constitution caused the need for roads, railroads, good schools and bridges etc.

Also, the Federal reserve should never have been allowed to form. Wilson did that.

How is two trillion more than 6 trillion? How is two trillion more than 17 trillion?

Is that affirmative action or something? Where's your Obama outrage? I would love a Reagan economy right now. This one is stagnant and contains fewer jobs than before Obutthead was elected.

In your mind, regardless of the results, democrat good, republican bad right? Does that make sense? No.

I see. You may be excused, just as soon as you paint us the picture of your ideal country under 100% democrat rule.

Let's talk about 100% conservative government. Dirt roads, collapsing bridges, no schools, a permanent underclass, no public colleges, no middle class, hunger, no scientific research, no medical care except for the wealthy.

Posted 317 days ago.

Outlawing unions would have stopped a shift in the global automotive market? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Posted 317 days ago.

"It's tough to argue with a real 4% unemployment rate and the doubling of the size of the economy isn't it? "

Two trillion in hot checks. Reagan's economy was a house of credit cards that collapsed. That's why he needed 11 tax increases to offset the damage, and Bush had to go back on his "Read My Lips " pledge. The country was going bankrupt.

RS's neighbor has a new car, a new boat, and goes on a European vacation every year. It's all on credit cards. RS admires him. RS's neighbor is the Reagan economy.

By outlawing unions in both the private sector and the government sector. That includes Public Schools. By mandating that people work for a living rather than slurp the gov.*****forever. By not engaging in activity that will have you thrown in jail. By giving tax incentives to job providers and allowing them to promote good workers and fire sh*tty ones.

You know, rocket science like that.

At least one of those is to fund the cadillac retirement plan for railroad workers only.

Another one was based on a promise from democrats that they would cut spending by 3 dollars for every one dollar in increased revenue. Of course, the democrats lied about it and never reduced anything. No Republican should trust anything a democrat says.

I am guessing that if I research every one of these items you've listed, I would find great explanations for them.

It's tough to argue with a real 4% unemployment rate and the doubling of the size of the economy isn't it? Besides, don't you like tax increases as long as they don't touch you?

None of those touched me either and I was making a little over 50K per year at the age of 19.

Now as soon as you are willing to show us what your ideal country would look like under 100% democrat control, I would be glad to see it.

Tell us, if Republicans had been in charge of Detroit, how they would have stopped a global change in the automotive industry that would have prevented the obsolete plants from closing? Tell us how they would have prevented Stroh's from being closed? Tell us how they would have kept Packard in business? Tell us how they would have stopped tires from being imported and killing Detroit's tire industry? Tell us all these wonderful things conservatives would have done? Maybe in Flint they could have prevented unibody construction and kept Fisher Body in place. Tell us of these miracles. Be as specific as you like, you know, facts and sources.
