Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

Which way do I turn my head if I want to see "radicals"? When it comes to turning one's head, there are but two choices, to the right or to the left. Reagan or Obama? Cruz or Reid? Given the choices, I'd have to go with...stay tuned.

You've heard that the pen is mightier than the sword. That just means that the pen has the power to inspire many swords. The power to inspire cannon and coin as well.

The media, the democrats, public school teachers, tenured professors, government bureaucrats, and other left wing missionaries/prosyletizers, want you to believe that the desire to adhere to the U.S. Constitution, and have our country spend within it's means, is wacko bird territory. Is it? Or is it the real wacko birds who are calling the sensible citizens names for effect? I vote B.

I'd call it experiments in group-think technology. The attempt to sway the masses into self-inflicted death, at the hands of the prevailing power.

Here's the thing "they" don't realize. Our Constitution is, or should be, mainstream. If you are to the right of the Constitution, that would be far right wing. To be a strict constructionist though, is not far right wing. It is simply, adhering to what we should be adhering to. In other words middle of the road. Anything short of strict constructionism, is leftwing.

You are either to the right or to the left of the Constitution. The Constitution itself, is middle of the road. The norm. The should-be, status quo. However, we are currently so far to the left of that document, it's ridiculous.

That is what the Tea Party is bothered by. That is what conservatives are bothered by. If you are a conservative, but not a Tea Party person, you are simply playing with terms, and can't see the forest for the fog.

Lets suppose you are actually an inhabitant of planet Earth...more specifically, the USA, and you've heard, ad nauseum about the O' administration's persecution of Tea Party related groups and individuals via IRS and other Government agencies.

Let's also suppose that someone calls you and asks you to comment on whether or not you are a Tea Party supporter or member. What would you say? Yes? Sure, if you are a glutton for punishment.

"Hey love of my life, how's about you paint a target on my back in hi-glow, reflective paint, then I'll paint one on yours." Does that sound logical, feasible, or even possible?

Your tortured explanation is stupid. Norm's celebration of Salon's poll is even more stupid. But we expect stupid from him. What's your excuse?

Statistics are just trained numbers that can jump through any hoop the customer requests. I studied statistical analysis in my senior year of college and learned that any study based on statistics needs a second look. It's the variables, you see? The variables can be adjusted or skewed to reflect desired outcomes. This is what polling companies do. The customer orders a product and the polling company designs the “science.” to produce the desired results. Questioners based on known regional and “target group” data are formed to use the anthropological expectations of the answers. The rest are simply numbers gymnastics to complete the contract and deliver the desired product. Most people have no idea how statistical analysis works – or even exists so they believe the results simply based in that it is “science.” In other words – its just another prod used to herd people in a desired direction.

Amos, you are missing the bigger picture. Its not just the republicans it's the democrats too. Both parties are packed with petty, vengeful, players in a political theater and you are the audience. Like a game show or a wrestling match you are played to and prodded to support one party agenda or another. Each camp has its scripted players – you do understand this right? The party (each party) releases the talking points based on polling data to elicit a response from a targeted audience. Good people who want nothing more than to raise their families and live their lives are herded into political camps and preyed upon to support one parasite or the other.

At first glance this seems to a joke but wait a second and think about it. Even with zero chance of winning the Whitehouse getting on the ballot is no problem with this pair. It is no coincidence that every New York and New Jersey successful politician has risked all to appear on Stern's show for his support. From Koch to Como to Christy and others have benefited greatly over the years from Sterns steerage of his mega fan base towards their elections. A serious effort by Stern ad Ventura would draw millions of voters to the polls.

Howard Stern & Jesse Ventura have announced a 2016 bid for the Whitehouse. Now THIS is interesting! Stern who is a Zionist libertarian and a proven mega fund raiser with a fan base in the millions and Ventura who is a constitutionalist conspiracy theorist who served as governor of Minnesota make a viable pair that could draw a heck of a lot of voters into the polls in 2016. Stern will announce his partnership with Ventura on Monday's radio show.

Tea Party support has recently been shown to be at a record LOW. Only 22% of Americans of voting age according to the latest poll, have any use for Teabagger politics. There IS hope.

The republicans are so full of hate and anger they are attacking each other now. Cruz must be a democrat with intent to destroy the republican party.

'Inequality For All' in theaters Now. The opposite of the execrable 'Atlas Shrugged' Fascist propaganda movie that three people went to see.

Cruz is an extremist.

Posted 369 days ago.

This might be the big one. He admired Cruz so much, and Cruz is now a national joke, that it may have been more than he could bear.

Say! I like green eggs and ham! I do!! I like them, Sam-I-am! And I would eat them in a boat! And I would eat them with a goat... And I will eat them in the rain. And in the dark. And on a train. And in a car. And in a tree. They are so good so good you see!

Cruz: "I thank the men and women who have endured this Bataan death march," he said in starting his conclusion."

A slap in the face to all veterans and especially those who endured the march.

Ted Cruz is currently filibustering the bill that defunds Obamacare. It doesn't get any crazier than that.

He said he posted it two months ago, but everything back then looks as ridiculous as his posts now. Steve Fletcher is fortunate he was in the Lucky Sperm Club. If he had not been born into money he would have never found it. Even then he managed to destroy one of Alpena's oldest businesses. His latest gem was rebutted nicely in a Letter to the Editor, who saw through his silver spoon editorial.

I want also to see the rshrill 'essay'. He aligns himself with Steve Fletcher, who often makes sense, as rshrill does not. If he is so proud of his bat****e crazy theories, we should see them. But of course, he has NO courage, just an empty mind.

Shrill, YOU never give a reason to smile, thanks for asking, though. MY life is quite fulfilling, and you attempting to fill the world with bullshiite fills nothing but the void where your soul would be. Like Jax says, you regurgitate, far more than you shrill, illuminate. You pretend at being a so called 'Christian', when everything you propose in this forum suggests quite the opposite of what Jesus would do.
