Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

Point fingers at the people who created Rombama care, the Heritage Foundation. Barry wanted the public option but the right wingers had to stick in $27 million per year insurance company CEOs. Me and the pope and rumor has it jesus would rather help the poor. Socioenonomic that.

O'commiecare was never about healthcare. It was and is 100% about total gooberment control, just as the Global Warming hoax is 100% about total gooberment control.

As top salesperson, I was also an independent contractor, which means no one could tell me what to do, even then. They could only offer "suggestions".

Security is in the ability to produce. I worked on straight commission, as in, no guaranteed salary...evah!

After all of this chaos the zealots in the democratic party are still trying to defend the ACA, a 2300 page chaotic mess who's main goal is to cover the 30, 40 or 50 million, (pick a number, it changes with the level of anxiety on the democratic side), Americans who had no insurance.

OOPS, 30 million will remain uncovered.

They rammed it through, ("elections have consequences") with an arrogance that has come back to bite them in the a-s-s.

They didn't read it, didn't understand it and called anyone who raised questions "racists" and "heartless".

The biggest problem the democratic party has is that they are running out of people to point fingers at.

It's still frightening to think that vacuous woman (Sarah) could have been one old man's heartbeat away from the nuclear button.

By the way, jaxspp, the house committees will now have access to the survivors of the Benghazi attacks and guess what? The stories given by their administration "handlers" differ somewhat to what actually happened.

I can't believe it!!! The administration not telling us the truth????????

Yes, I could buy another house every year, in cash, with the money I pay in annual taxes.

By the way, when I was much younger, I was the top salesmen in the entire country for two different companies.

So, compared to me, Jaxocommie, you are like a first day burger flipper.

If you can make a good living for your family working from your home, (reference Steve Jobs), then, by all means, ROCK THE HECK ON!!!

Don't listen to some peon destined to work a service counter with all the woes and worries carried by his higher ups and his only "concern" is to blog at work and waste his employers' time.

Thanks for that absolutely irrelevant piece of drivvel amos57usa. That really advances the socioeconomic condition of all who were lucky enough to read it.

RS, do you pay income tax? State, federal, local?

You bet you're ass you do. And you pay your own Social Security taxes, your own Medicare taxes, your own retirement on and on.

Jaxspp knows nothing about the babble he parrots from MSNBCopolis.

As a prophet I was right again. Sarah Palin (who I think is a type of protestant) attacked the pope (who I think is a type of catholic) was "taken aback" by the pope's [dirty] liberal agenda. New prophecy: The catholics and protestants will be spray painting each other's churches 'sooner' than jesus flies back to earth to referee.

It's illegal for Xmas to be a government holiday. Merry Solstice freeman (with a ball and chain).

The same holds true with the government shut down.

Why not just pass a budget? Would have completely eliminated filibuster possibilities against a continuing resolution. Nope, just keep passing a CR with any increase Harry Reid sees fit to include. House passed numerous budgets. Senate didn't even bring one to the floor, (with the exception of the Presidents', who nobody, NOBODY voted for).

Talk about "self inflicted wounds"? Republicans fault? $17+ Trillion and a*****poor economy? $85 Billion a month to prop up the equity markets and mortgage security markets? That's your "rebounding economy"?

Well, there are zero people above me, and zero people below me. It's 100% our company. It's just my wife and I selling good products. So, nothing whatsoever "pyramid" about it.

Your jealousy though, as an employee of another, is noted. Do as you're told. You seem to love obeying orders. I do not.

Price gouging, to Venezuela commies, is tremendously different than it is to most of us. Inflation there now is something like 500%. Any profit over 30% or so is "gouging" to them, and they will outlaw it.

I understand how you need to use the McCarthy word in an attempt to avoid scrutiny. Nope, you can't avoid it. I'll stop warning about it when we turn away from it and not before. We are racing towards it now. Not going to sweep it under the rug.

Pretending it doesn't exist helps hasten it's fruition. I'd rather shoot it in the head every chance I get, OK commie?

OK.

The democrats were warned in 2010 by Mike Enzie that the regulations would "gut" the grandfather status of tens of millions of plans both in the individual market and the small business employer market. Senator Enzie laid out on the senate floor the exact situation the administration now finds themselves in. This would not be an issue right now.

Every democrat voted against that bill. Every one.

"Why don't republicans help to fix it"?

Have you been listening? NO! They are called "racist", "obstructionist" and any other name these morons can come up with.

"Mistakes were made" based upon political calculations made by the White House team.

They chose not to bring in private sector expertise when they were explicitly warned that the government "was not up to the task" of rolling out the ACA.

They chose to go ahead with the roll out when they were warned that the website was not stress tested and, in fact, had already failed some component testing.

They chose to go on the campaign trail and make promises that they knew, (or what's worse should have known), were false.

They chose to completely topple a system that worked for 95% of the country in favor of their system that, ironically, according to the CBO, will still leave 30 million Americans uninsured.

Now they are attempting to put the "genie back in the bottle" with an administrative wave of the hand but, Mr. President, those plans are gone and the insurance companies cannot just reinstate them.

I wonder when you are going to stop the Joe McCarthy stuff? I get more business experience in a month than you've had your entire life running a pyramid scheme out of your living room. You will never understand the Real World, or a government's role in it.

"Venezuela’s socialist government has arrested more than 100 “bourgeois” businessmen in a crackdown on alleged price-gouging at hundreds of shops and companies since the weekend, President Nicolas Maduro said on Thursday."

34 states in America have laws against price gouging. I know in your world you feel businessmen should be able to take advantage of people in a crisis, such as selling water for $10 a bottle after hurricanes. Most of us have a sense of compassion.

I'd like it to go back to where Clinton had it, before the Republicans screwed it up with 2 unfunded tax cuts and 2 unfunded wars. Can't you please just put it back where you found it?

...“We have more than 100 of the bourgeoisie behind bars at the moment.”

Get it yet, NormJax? "Commies", it's short for Comm-U-nists. Central planning doesn't work. They can't even figure out how to keep toilet paper in that country for folks. Capitalism could handle that really complicatd problem though...were it not in chains. Is this where you'd like our country to go? It's heading in that direction lickity split.

One more time: You are on the wrong side.

"Venezuela Locks Up 100 “Bourgeois” Businessmen For The Crime Of Capitalism"

"Watching Venezuela commit economic and political suicide is incredibly instructive for those that may not have lived thru earlier iterations of Communist dictatorships going belly-up. Take a gander at the future if you follow in the progressive mode. The cornerstone in many cases was the nationalizing of large swathes of the economy, such as healthcare…"

This above is a quote from a "right wing" blogger. It's just basic common sense. Something sorely lacking these days. It is regarding a Reuters story, excerpted below.

Nov 14 (Reuters) – Venezuela’s socialist government has arrested more than 100 “bourgeois” businessmen in a crackdown on alleged price-gouging at hundreds of shops and companies since the weekend, President Nicolas Maduro said on Thursday.

“They are barbaric, these capitalist parasites!” Maduro thundered in the latest of his lengthy daily speeches.
