Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

When an administration that can look you in the eye, time and time again and be misleading, you have to, at some point, wonder if they can be trusted with anything.

The only questions remaining are how high the knowledge of these actions goes.

Same with Benghazi. The truth was available to the administration and they CHOSE not to disclose it. They CHOSE to tell you and me a falsehood.

You can keep trying to sweep these issues under the rug but you are not doing yourself or your country any favors.

All we ever seem to get these days is excuse after excuse.

hville is regurgitating talking points used to justify illegal behavior.

Again, most entities are going to be investigated but most are not going to be anal-probed like the non-progressive groups were.

The standard employed by Lois Lerner with regard to non-progressive groups, "..NOT IN CINCINNATI..", is demonstrably different than that employed in the normal course of investigation.

To equate the two is not honest.

They have not been able to bring forward one group that was subjected to the same level of scrutiny that the conservative groups were. That's the problem.

The IRS is supposed to, as hville notes, investigate these entities who are seeking tax exempt status. I want them to do that, WITHIN THE CONFINES OF THE LAW. There is the distinction.

What the IRS did to the conservative groups goes far, far beyond what they did to so called progressive leaning groups. Not even a close comparison.

hville, after Nixon's direction to the IRS to dig up dirt on his political enemies, congress codified those actions and they are now FELONIES. Tax payer information is NOT TO BE SHARED WITH ANY ONE, EVEN OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES WITHOUT DUE PROCESS. They would need a search warrant to be issued.

"House members file brief for PLF’s (Pacific Legal Foundation) “Origination Clause” challenge to Obamacare"

"Washington, D.C.; November 11, 2013: Pacific Legal Foundation's legal challenge to Obamacare received important backing in the form of an amicus brief filed by Congressman Trent Franks, R-Arizona, Chairman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, joined by several dozen other members of the House."

"The amicus brief was filed Friday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, in PLF's case, Sissel v. U.S. Department of Health & Human Services."

"We argue that Obamacare was enacted in a way that deprived the House of its authority to ‘originate' new taxation. By extension, taxpayers were deprived of a core constitutional protection against reckless and oppressive use the federal taxing power.”

...stop to that.

The endless list of ridiculous questions which Freeman has already described at length was designed for one thing and one thing only...to fulfill the post 2010's promise from Jarret, that it was now "payback time", Chicago style. To put the kabash on grass roots money and acivity. The establishment can't have the gov. reduce spending. Can't have it adhere to it's own law of the land either. Must keep squashing that document. Yes, the Borg has captured many of the old "conservatives".

By the way, is their any group under the sun more political than the NAACP? One more blatantly, 101% partisan? You know, all democrat ALL the time, expressing perma-seething hatred for all things non-democrat!? Some of us recognize the snake you slithered in under. Slither back back out, or say something containing at least a quark of truth.

How do you figure that? Similarly to the way you figure other things? Not at all? By mere personal whim? Hackville can be V.P. of fool ok, co-VP with Normanecromance. The Three Foolketeers. Oooh, I can already see the sun glistening off your wielded lies, as you brandish them wildly. But enough of your lies. Sheath them for a season at least.

I'd like to see the reporting footnote from which he "reports". I have heard of zero "progressive" groups lamenting IRS targeting. Zero.

Additionally, these 501c4 groups are understood to be political in nature by all involved so long as their "main" activity is not political. Tea Party groups do not tout one party over any other. They are issue driven. If some party would tackle their issues of interest, they would appreciate it. As it is, neither does. As it was, neither did. Many new candidates stood up and pledged to do that. They were voted in, in 2010. The establishment career pigs are trying to put a hasty s

By the way, the patriot and tea party groups didn't start getting approved until the scandal came out and many sued. Their attorney, Jay Sekulow (ACLJ). Otherwise, they would probably be "delayed" forever with impossible, endless questionnaires.

I wonder if any were asked how many microscopic commie parasites can dance on a pinhead.

Did ya' hear about that environmental "activist" in Buenos Aires that married a tree? Absolutely true. I wonder if they'll consummate the marriage?

In belated related news, Ms. O' married a commie jackash.

Must be the words Texas in two of them and the word America in the other, if it's even true.

What does the content of one's prayers have to do with anything? They were purposely trying to kill the Tea Party and Reid knew that. So do you, while agreeing with it. He (Reid) even announced that the Tea Party was dead on the Senate floor. He had good info on that.

Lerner should be a felon, as should their top legal counsel....at a minimum. The way to get promoted though in this administration is to be as corrupt as possible. This admin is also purging the military of those they perceive differ politically from them.

Posted 345 days ago.

...and if you were charged with sorting out groups who qualified as "social welfare organizations" as groups qualifying as 501 (c)(4) are termed, would you look at groups using such obviously political terms as "tea party" or "progressive" in their names, or ones that are called, say, "We Love Kittens"?

Posted 345 days ago.

Easy. Progress Texas and Clean Elections Texas. Got the same letters, and another Emerge America, came under similar scrutiny and was DENIED, something that did not happen to the tea party groups. Delayed while investigated, yes. Denied, no. By the way, it's the IRS's JOB to investigate whether groups applying for tax-exempt status are mainly political or not, something they didn't do very well when approving Carl Rove's Crossroads GPS. If they aren't almost completely political, no one is...

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — "Fitch Ratings has downgraded the credit worthiness of Chicago’s bond debt because of its public pension problems.

Fitch dropped the rating from AA- to A- on $8 billion in general obligation bonds, backed by property taxes."

No fracking way! How can that be? Oh right, Democrats as far as the eye can see. Asked and answered.

By the way, are both former Democrat Governors of Illinois still in prison or was one let out already?

Name one progressive group that was targeted like Patriot and Tea Party groups. On the contrary, they were fast-tracked. Maybe that's what you mean. Targeted for fast-track status, to be approved in 30 days or so, like Obama's own brother, for example, who raises money for The Muslim Brotherhood.

The use of the IRS for political purposes has been going on for generations, from FDR, Kennedy, Nixon (About 10,00 cases)and rose to an art form under George Bush the Younger, who was also famous for enlisting the Secret Service and FBI to punish anti Iraq war speech, notably the NAACP and a very large (liberal) church in Pasadena. None of which makes the latest issues right, but progressive/liberal groups were scrutinized too, based on their group names, just like the tea party were. They were applying for tax-exempt status under 501(c)(4), whereby they could not engage in mainly political activity, which they in all probibility were...
