Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

When did President Clinton or Bush characterize those attacks as anything other than what they were?

Obama administration lied about what they knew and when they knew it, that is what's under investigation jax. Come on man, seriously. You've just got to stop trying to cover for this administration. They're inept.

"... tried watching the Billy Graham program, and it was painful, I learned nothing new. Poor Billy, reduced to reciting the scourging of Jesus, and the cross hanging at the hands of Romans. The whole slick production smacked of propaganda..."

The depth of your ignorance on the subject is unbelievable.

Why comment on a subject that you just don't understand? Really, what is the point? Why bait people with stupidity?

Love him or hate him [Christianity] there is absolutely no doubt that he has conducted himself and his ministries with the ethics and selflessness that should be the envy of all men who hold sway over others.

You're an idiot normanlake. Poor, pathetic and deserving of pity you're reaching for.

"..Free'man, Hitler's 'anti-Jewish' program was modeled after the 'christian' anti-Native 'American' program..."

What's your point normanlake? Does that make the practice OK in your eyes? Are you trying to justify future acts?

Religion will always be corrupted to political purpose by unscrupulous people. Stop being a hater.

Still waiting for someone, anyone, to name a single "transitional" species....and again, 57 doesn't count. He probably drools a lot, but doesn't count.

Kudos to CBS for admitting and correcting a mistake. That organization is fast redeeming it's news credentials.

"RS despises anyone not like him." (Jaxypocrite)

That would be you, your Thornton, and the rest of your side. Are you a 16 mm projector or some other variety?

Normaniacal. The "study" you refer to is 100% garbage. In the same ignorant, completely unscholarly vein as "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown :-)

Both of which have been ripped apart as wildly imaginative fiction, with no basis in historical fact whatsoever. Open your mind some more Normumbles. Is there anything left which can fall out?

It isn't Thornton's admission to atheism that is so horrible, but his apparent self-association with Stalin.

Mmkay little tentless camper?

norm, we know RS despises anyone not like him. Atheists have always been on his list, we can also add Indians who are repulsed by the Redskins mascot.

There is nothing wrong with being an atheist. There IS something wrong in pretending your bible ONLY is the only way to enlightenment. Christianity has Pagan origins, yet to hear you tell it, Christianity arose out of the New Testament version of 'history'. There is strong evidence that Jesus the Christ never existed, Caesar's Messiah, a thoughtful examination of the common thread between faiths, as opposed to dogmatic renderings by acolytes with an agenda illustrates that there is much more to history than literary interpretation of stories told. I was taught the Catholic way and at the same time I was taught to think for myself. Some people in this forum are stuck with what they were taught, and never learned to think for themselves. Open your mind, Tonto.

"Stalin was an atheist...so am I" (Paul Thornton, LA Times, Nov. '07)

Why did you post that Jaxodummkopf? Was it to prove that your side stifles dissent? To prove your side regards their opinions as facts and the opinions of others as nothing? We already knew that, but thanks for hammering it home once more.

"Progressives" don't do dissent, they shut it right on down by any means available.

There are many scientific researchers who think GW is BS. It's 100% about control. Just like the ACA is.

Put your acorn helmet back on (if you ever took it off), lower your head, and run at an oak tree repeatedly, till you either cut it down, or it knocks some sense into that gaping cavity riding on your neck.

"'Thornton wrote. 'Saying ‘there’s no sign humans have caused climate change’ is not stating an opinion, it’s asserting a factual inaccuracy' "

Sorry, Flat-Earthers.

Posted 259 days ago.

"The LA Times has decided that it will print no letters from any scientist or other person who is skeptical of dire climate change studies. The issue is letters to the editor, which, we admit, require some curating on the part of the editorial staff. Letters routinely are edited for focus, extraneous content, and almost always for length, because lay-people rarely have the skills to write in journalistic style.

The LA Times' Paul Thornton "recently wrote a letter of his own stating flatly that he won't publish some letters from those skeptical of man's role in our planet's warming climate." The trouble is, Thornton is the editor of the newspaper's letters section. Thornton claims he has been misinterpreted: He says he's not denying alternative views; he is denying material that is not factual. " 'Simply put, I do my best to keep errors of fact off the letters page; when one does run, a correction is published, "

'Free'man, Hitler's 'anti-Jewish' program was modeled after the 'christian' anti-Native 'American' program. Nothing against Christians with a pure heart mind you, lest I be termed a 'commie' hater', but the tired analogy you conservatives like to cite with the hitler reference is not conducive to reasonable discourse. I contend that your 'conservative' ideology is a product of your indoctrination by association with literal interpretation of your version of the bible. You do not dare seek truth, lest your whole existence as a 'christian' be questioned. Adherence to conservatism is the same as adherence to a religious philosophy you accept as truth without seeking actual truth, even to the point of FEAR of truth.

The GOP squashed a Tea Party candidate in Alabama, so as usual you have it bass-ackward RS.

Posted 259 days ago.

Let's take a moment and bow our heads to mourn the 60 embassy and consulate DEATHS which occurred during the Bush presidency, goodness knows the GOP will never mention nor investigate them.

Oh Goody, The IRS and Benghazi Traveling BS Show is back in town. Promises Bigger and Better Phony Outrage. See The GOP try to create Something out of Nothing before your very eyes!

Punctuated Equilibrium. Him duh "hopeful monster" of Stephen Jay Gould and Niles Eldredge, who attempted to explain the complete lack of transitional species in the fossil record.

To heck with the fossil record though, right? 57 relies only on faith..in scrambled eggheads. Science be d*amned.

Him don't need no stinking evidence. Him is stinking evidence.
