Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

NOW we see that a great conservative proxy, George Zimmerman, he of shooting a teenage black unarmed youth to death, is now in trouble again, this time for aggravated assault and domestic violence, against his partner, a woman this time. A hero defended by rshrill, in his usual role as advocate for reprehensible behavior. (Cruz, Gohmert, Palin, Beck) Wait til Zimmy shoots a white person, then maybe the nuts will defend his honor because the white guy was homeless.

Amos, I think you hit the nail, so to speak. 'Churches' nowadays are meddling in politics, which is an unseemly bedfellow for a religious institution that enjoys TAX FREE status for some unfathomable reason. Tax them to the full extent.

The "right wingers" didn't vote for any of O'commiecare. You must mean "right wingers" in the democrat party, as this law is wholly owned by democrats. Every jot, every tittle, every "Period".

The democrats steamrolled over every republican in the House and Senate to pass the bill as it is, then unanimously shot down the GOP effort to actually have a real grandfather clause so people could keep what they like. They disallowed Scott Brown a vote at all, who was elected specifically to kill O'commiecare with his single vote.

Of course, much like Obama, both what you say, as well as what you mean, is 100% meaningless...100% BS.

57 shades of crap.

freeloading freeman..States with only two options have only two because you right wingers wouldn't allow the public option. You blame Barry for what Heritage created then stop him from fixing it. Now pay your church property taxes. Churches have enough money to pave 40 acres but not enough to pay your fair share in tax. The gods will get you for that.

Turns out that even while O' was "apologizing" (lying about his lie) and saying only 5% would be affected by losing their grandfather privilege to keep their plans, his own DOJ in a court brief was assuring the court that most people will lose their employer-based plans too. This, in a religious liberty case against O'care.

(Partially summarized article written by Andrew McCarthy)

Also back in 2010 the GOP tried to pass a bill giving real teeth to the grandfather clause allowing people to keep their insurance and every democrat voted it down. Did you get that? Every democrat made certain you could not keep your healthcare plan.

Also, there's an article out about "Census" faking the unemployment numbers right before the 2012 election, taking them from 8.2% down to 7.8%, making it seem the economy was doing better than it was.

This administration rivals raw sewage. Have they said or done anything with veracity???

It's an albatross necklace adorning every democrat in DC. It's a big fat lie collection, and more unpopular than ever.

You'll probably get your cancellation notice next year along with 100 million other Americans...right before the 2014 mid-term elections.

There's already parts of the ACA people are thrilled with such as keeping your children on your plan until they are 26. People with pre-existing conditions will be happy, people who have hit their caps will be happy, people in dangerous occupations who can't get insured will be happy. We knew the plan would need adjusting, again I say I know the GOP expected perfection immediately.

We can unplug it, just post the link to the alternative. Some I've seen for the GOP involve vouchers that won't cover costs enough and tax credits, big help for those in the lower brackets who pay no tax.

The Department of Justice has an Antitrust Division. How hypocritical is that? The monopoly known as the Federal Government needs to be broken up.

We are stuck with this thing and, because it's implementation been completely botched, we are all going to feel the pain for a much longer period than even the administration hoped for.

They just didn't do anything right on this one.

Many insurance companies across state lines.

With regard to "whining", really?

Jaxspp, everything that the opposition to the ACA warned about has come to pass.

Being correct is not whining, it's warning. You are not being straight with yourself.

The problem, jaxspp, is not that some people can get on and save money. That goes without question. The problem is that most people cannot save money with the ACA. The math, as I've been saying since 2010, does not add up.

Who is paying for the "subsidy" in the article? The tax credit goes directly to the insurance company, it is not just an alleviation of a tax burden, it is actual monies paid out.

Amos, the parts of the ACA that were adopted from the Heritage Foundation's plan are orphaned and do not reflect the concept in it's totality. An example is the state exchanges could include many insurance companies. That is not the case today. Many states have one or two insurance companies that "compete" with virtually identical plans and pricing. Not competitive and completely antithetical to the concept promoted by the foundations economists.

Never tries, they never tire of whining.

Posted 277 days ago.

Not everyone is a Republican who never tires, whose favorite word is "can't":.

The ACA is the republican plan created by the Heritage Foundation so they don't need an alternative. The republican plan was to make the freeloaders pay which is why churches should pay property taxes. Maybe if I put a big T in my yard and get some stained glass then I could weasel out of paying property tax too. Like Sarah would say, "man up" church people and stop freeloading.

Not that there is anything wrong with selling adult novelties although in bible states you may be arrested if you tell the truth about what 'novelties' are for.

freem..I agree that Kansas is different than Michigan. They don't have a Brown Trout festival. I agree Romneycare should stop multi-millionaries from taking advantage of sick people but remain skeptical of claims the republicans would hurt rich white people. The republicans do seem intent on taking food from poor children who don't have a team of loophole lawyers. Me and the pope and rumor has it, jesus (if undead) are against starving the poor.

DITTO, 'free'man. Innuendo and lies are the stock in trade of BOTH parties, and your immature rant about Democrats is misguided hyperbole.

The new democratic line seems to be "shield incompetence and failure with misdirection, innuendo and lies".
