Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

Do you ever ask yourself how some diseases have been cured? Hint: Government research grants are involved.

Do you ever ask yourself how America made it to the moon? Hint: The government was involved.

Pre-existing conditions - not covered. Pre-existing conditions - unable to get insurance, period. Caps. Claims denied. Dangerous jobs - unable to get coverage. Policies cancelled after claims filed - found slight errors in application. Children dropped at 18.

If you still have an idealized view that the democrat party is still that of your parents, then perhaps you need to think much deeper below the surface, as your naive views are not merely superficial, they are stuporficial.

Our entire government is virtually an extension of the democrat party, as are much of the courts, and your party seeks to stack the deck even further in their favor.

Living under an all consuming government thumb may seem utopian to you, but it is*****to me. Subjugation beneath that ever-widening thumb does not suit me. It will not suit my progeny either.

You are bogged down in process, along with your lefty media maggots, since you are incapable of thinking with your own brain. I am actually looking at the ingredients of the sausage making apparatus, and I don't like all of the raw sewage flowing into the mix. You are either blissfully OK with it, don't care to look at it, are willfully blind to it, or have no problem eating sewage.

Look in Reid's pocket little camper. Oh wait, you're already in that pocket. Just open your peepers.

Here's the alternative: Free Markets...mmkay?

Here's the problem: Marxism.

Get the hint?

Answering questions isn't part of the Borg network is it? Could you at least refer me to someone who might be able to answer something without lying their Never-Lovin' a-s-s off?

And have you anything other than Iraq?

Bam! ACA is all I have! Bam! Obstruction is all I do! Bam! I haven't passed one bill this year to create jobs or help the economy in any manner! Bam! I shut down the government I ran to be a part of! Bam! I voted 42 times to repeal the ACA without proposing an alternative.

If all out Marxism isn't the goal. What is? What's the end game? Where the h*ll are you hoping to take this country?

Bam! Bam goes the hammer. People receive cancellation notices from their insurance companies. Bam! Obama is exposed as a liar. Bam! Reid and Pelosi were in on it. Bam! When times are bleak for conservatives, we have one inalienable tool...the hammer of reality. (Bill Whittle)

Good, the Joe McCarthy card hadn't been played in a couple of days, glad it is still in your deck.

Your party is hurdling us down Serfdom Road. Somebody had better stand in the way, and that someone is not you. If it is no one else, your progeny will "live" on that road.

Now go dig some holes and bring stuff to the queen, then dig some more holes, and bring more stuff to the queen. Slavery may suit you and yours just fine, It will never suit me nor mine.

Blindly ambling along as the hind end of a donkey costume kicks no one's a-s-s. It simply IS the a-s-s. Don't confuse the two.

We've never had a commie as President before. Never had one try to inundate the government with other commies either. He's turning our country into a ridiculously debt ridden, people strangling, business strangling, sh*thole.

"Butt", keep quoting Think Progress (A Fabian Socialist organization), and the NYT, the Socialist fishwrap of record.

You do as you always do, tow the party line, regardless of what is on the end of that line. In your politics, you are amoral, and bereft of all virtue, just like your party is. A non-thinking drone. A leashed, salivating, dog-parrot.

The GOP is disallowed from uncovering voter fraud. Disallowed from suing over it. There were and are, mind-blowing amounts of political fraud flowing from your party's lying molar holes. Lie after lie after lie. More than enough to throw an election.

"Don't confuse the issue with facts. Jaxspp doesn't like facts."

Tell us again about that pre-Iraq war intelligence you were so factual about, Fact-free. (The one I kicked your****on).

"You cannot, by any stretch of the imagination, think that this is OK. "

Read the NY Times Post, tell me why this is OK.

When Republicans last controlled the Earlier this year, for the first time ever, Republicans filibustered a nominee for Secretary of Defense. Republicans have used the filibuster to essentially nullify agencies they don’t like. They refused to confirm enough members to the National Labor Relations Board to create a quorum, and blocked the president’s nominee to lead the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Relying on data from the Congressional Research Service, Fix the Senate Now estimated that the average waiting time for non-controversial judicial nominees was about 70 days for President Reagan. It’s been almost 7 months for President Obama.

NY Times:When Republicans last controlled the Senate, in the 109th Congress, 68 cloture motions were filed (on all sorts of bills, not just nominees). When Democrats took control, in the 110th, that number went up to 139. It was 137 in the 111th Congress and 115 in the 112th. That’s totally unprecedented. ThinkProgress calculated that “3 in 10 of all cloture motions filed in the history of the Senate were filed during McConnell’s tenure as Minority Leader.” Republicans have filibustered a record number of executive-branch nominees. During the presidencies of Eisenhower through Ford, there were zero cloture votes on such nominees. There were two under Carter, two under Reagan, none under the first Bush. Then nine under Clinton and seven under the second Bush. But the current situation’s much worse: There have been 27 cloture votes on President Obama’s executive-branch nominees, including 11 in the last four months.

I've read Levin's remarks, I do not disagree with them. But the Republicans were not using the filibusters as responsible adults. Republicans are not there to govern, Republicans for some reason see government as the enemy, hence they cannot govern. Something had to give. Republicans were blocking nominees for personal political gain or blocking them simply to block them.

"Look, jaxspp, I don't dislike you, "

I don't care whether you like me or not. In your mind anyone who disagrees has to be a fool or wrong. When I first saw your posts I though you were a notch above RS, who obviously is the court jester of this board, but you have grossly deteriorated down to his level.

As far as voter fraud:

All you have to do is find me one instance where voter fraud was confirmed and it changed the outcome of the election.

Paranoid voter fraud in your mind does not count.

"The net effect of this rule change has turned the minority party in the U.S. Senate into a figurehead. You cannot, by any stretch of the imagination, think that this is OK. "

No it didn't. They can still filibuster Supreme Court nominees and legislation.

I wanted to take a step back from you two nitwits to see the extent of what we are talking about. The GOP has filibustered twice as many nominees as the Dems did Bush. One of the nominees they are holding up is to replace Justice Roberts' old position, which was vacated 5 years ago. 5 years ago! At what point do you say stop it? Apparently with you two, there is no point.

By the way Jaxoliar. The GOP is legally barred from suing over voter fraud due to a consent decree they entered into with the DNC 31 years ago.

Look it up.

No voter fraud? BS.

"GOP Legally Barred From Fighting Voter Fraud."

I've posted this before. This is precisely why the GOP never sues over the constant voter fraud from the left. They can't.

Would they if they could? Oh yeah, all over the place.
