Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

if the GOP gets back in charge I would urge Fact-free and RS to immediately write their Senators urging a reversal of today's abomination, for the long term good of the Republic they are so interested in.

That's the key hville, it is the precedent that is established. All it now takes is the invocation of the previous use to justify the expansion.

What they have done is very dangerous and will be misused.

Please read Senator Levin's objection.

"There have been numerous proposals THAT WOULD NOT JACK UP 1/6 of the U.S. economy made by both republicans and democrats. Have you been listening? "

What are the Bill numbers?

There have been numerous proposals THAT WOULD NOT JACK UP 1/6 of the U.S. economy made by both republicans and democrats. Have you been listening?

One abomination is enough, we don't need a conservative version of the same take over.

Legislative filibuster busting is but one more Harry Reid "vote" away...you dumbass precedent ignorer. You get back in the donkey colon condo too, it's supper time.

Fools.

Posted 246 days ago.

The change in rules applies to presidential nominees, as in judgeships and cabinet posts Not to legislation. The repubbies can and will continue to filibuster any piece of legislation, good OR bad, as long as it's backed by Obama. They brought this change on themselves.

No, they're all in Harry Reid's pocket.

"it is absolutely killing you. "

I've said wait and see. In The Real World, things are given a chance to work, and if they don't, they don't. In Living Room World, the concept of trying new things is scary and unfathomable.

FYI there are no alternative bills to the ACA currently on the House floor.

His colleagues voting against "he", meaning, Ted Cruz, while John McCain and Peter King, and Corker blasted them on live national TV.

Yeah, that's goosestepping. Not only is it a lie Jaxoliar...it is an ignorant, idiotic, blatantly obvious, lie.

Get back in your donkey colon condo. It's cold out here. It's even colder in there.

"You've already said that you work for a "auto parts reseller"."

That's more than you've said you do. And, believe it or not, in The Real World there are many, many jobs with auto parts resellers that do not involve me selling auto parts.

"take it from your liberal hero."

All you have to do is find one quote from me where I've posted Levin is a hero of mine. Just one. We all know you are noted for putting words in others' mouths, here's another chance for you to pull your foot out of yours.

Occasionally a democrat can extricate himself from the collective donkey backside. It's a rare anomaly. Levin is retiring in two months, and the Senator from Ark (D), is well, a Senator from Arkansas.

I've heard from no other dissenting democrats today on the issue.

Jaxiepatsie is incapable of dissenting from the Dim groupthink...ever.

Yet he says Republicans march in goosestep, while ignoring the obvious lie that is, to wit: His colleagues voting against he, Lee and company in the Obamacare "filibuster" only weeks ago.

But what the h*ll, one more lie for him is just one more lie from him. They'll be more, today, tomorrow, and every day thereafter.

As far as "facts", RS and I have been offering numbers for years and you "geniuses" just keep saying how we are so "up the Heritage Foundation's a-s-s". Well, those numbers have proven to be correct and it is absolutely killing you.

Sorry. You've long lost the economic and ACA arguments.

If you can comprehend the concept of actually reading something that exceeds a paragraph, please go to Carl Levin's website and read the transcript of his oral admonition of the rule change.

Don't take it from me, take it from your liberal hero.

You've already said that you work for a "auto parts reseller".

You have absolutely no clue what this rule change means. You have absolutely no clue what can of worms this precedent opens.

You are woo-whooing a "victory" that includes your own destruction. I cannot conceive of a more ridiculous celebration.

But you keep on celebrating.

But I do see your naïve view of the Real World and see you are sheltered from logic, common sense, and facts.

"You have absolutely no clue what I do for a living"

Nor do you know what I do.

"it is just as urgent for my Republican colleagues to end the abuse of the rules which allow extended debate that were intended on rules that were intended to be invoked rarely. "

As we see by your childish tantrums here today, Fact-free, you cannot make children act like adults.

Facts...according to the ill educated spark plug salesman.

Talk about fact free. You have absolutely no clue what I do for a living, how many people I employ or where I even live. You're a consummate babbler and a mumbler.

"...ust as I've implored my Democratic colleagues to consider the implications of a nuclear option that would establish the precedent that a majority can change the rules at will, it is just as urgent for my Republican colleagues to end the abuse of the rules which allow extended debate that were intended on rules that were intended to be invoked rarely. Some of my Democratic colleagues may rightfully ask, "If a Democratic majority cannot initially muster a supermajority to end filibusters or change the rules, then what can the majority do?"..."
