Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

"Stalin was an atheist...so am I" (Paul Thornton, LA Times, Nov. '07)

Why did you post that Jaxodummkopf? Was it to prove that your side stifles dissent? To prove your side regards their opinions as facts and the opinions of others as nothing? We already knew that, but thanks for hammering it home once more.

"Progressives" don't do dissent, they shut it right on down by any means available.

There are many scientific researchers who think GW is BS. It's 100% about control. Just like the ACA is.

Put your acorn helmet back on (if you ever took it off), lower your head, and run at an oak tree repeatedly, till you either cut it down, or it knocks some sense into that gaping cavity riding on your neck.

"'Thornton wrote. 'Saying ‘there’s no sign humans have caused climate change’ is not stating an opinion, it’s asserting a factual inaccuracy' "

Sorry, Flat-Earthers.

"The LA Times has decided that it will print no letters from any scientist or other person who is skeptical of dire climate change studies. The issue is letters to the editor, which, we admit, require some curating on the part of the editorial staff. Letters routinely are edited for focus, extraneous content, and almost always for length, because lay-people rarely have the skills to write in journalistic style.

The LA Times' Paul Thornton "recently wrote a letter of his own stating flatly that he won't publish some letters from those skeptical of man's role in our planet's warming climate." The trouble is, Thornton is the editor of the newspaper's letters section. Thornton claims he has been misinterpreted: He says he's not denying alternative views; he is denying material that is not factual. " 'Simply put, I do my best to keep errors of fact off the letters page; when one does run, a correction is published, "

'Free'man, Hitler's 'anti-Jewish' program was modeled after the 'christian' anti-Native 'American' program. Nothing against Christians with a pure heart mind you, lest I be termed a 'commie' hater', but the tired analogy you conservatives like to cite with the hitler reference is not conducive to reasonable discourse. I contend that your 'conservative' ideology is a product of your indoctrination by association with literal interpretation of your version of the bible. You do not dare seek truth, lest your whole existence as a 'christian' be questioned. Adherence to conservatism is the same as adherence to a religious philosophy you accept as truth without seeking actual truth, even to the point of FEAR of truth.

The GOP squashed a Tea Party candidate in Alabama, so as usual you have it bass-ackward RS.

Posted 160 days ago.

Let's take a moment and bow our heads to mourn the 60 embassy and consulate DEATHS which occurred during the Bush presidency, goodness knows the GOP will never mention nor investigate them.

Oh Goody, The IRS and Benghazi Traveling BS Show is back in town. Promises Bigger and Better Phony Outrage. See The GOP try to create Something out of Nothing before your very eyes!

Punctuated Equilibrium. Him duh "hopeful monster" of Stephen Jay Gould and Niles Eldredge, who attempted to explain the complete lack of transitional species in the fossil record.

To heck with the fossil record though, right? 57 relies only on faith..in scrambled eggheads. Science be d*amned.

Him don't need no stinking evidence. Him is stinking evidence.

Crush, kill and destroy all that is not base-common.

You've missed the experience and are mad, I get it.

What amos doesn't get is that what makes us human is our ability to appreciate that which is not integral to the "eternal now".

Ponder a higher power for a moment, doesn't have to be God. Oops, that would take a true thoughtfulness that, I'm afraid, you just do not possess. Should have dropped the bottle years ago amos57usa.

Evolutionary strategy? How about freedom from the B.S. that over reaching government slings around?

Freeman

evolutionarily stable strategy?

I cannot think of a more restrictive and anti-human concept. I believe, while not defined at the time, Hitler's anti-Jewish program was a wonderful example of the theory as promoted by amos-read-enough-to-be-dagerous-57usa

Barack Pinocchio O'Goebbels is now getting pressure from his own liarcrats to "allow" people to keep their health insurance if they like it. You know, either change it or delay it.

Isn't that the very same pressure he was getting from the House, supported by Ted Cruz/Mike Lee and Co.? He turned a deaf ear to that didn't he? He and Reid shut down the government over it.

Are those liarcrats now the terrorists, and/or all those other ridiculous names conservatives were called? Or are those conservative ideas, just a few weeks ahead of their time? The liarcrats are just being level-headed now huh? Same ideas. One group demonized, the other, just finally, through mass public pressure, having a perfectly, well-founded, must-get-reelected, eureka moment?

See the blatant hypocrisy? Need a stronger word than hypocrisy to describe this? I do. Demagoggerocrisy? Dummydodgerocrisy? Lyinglibbydemmygoggingslanderocrisy? How about supercalaliaristicexpialabullshis?

You choose.

Zeke Emanuel...Rahm's brother, is considered at least one, if not THE "architect" of the plan (ACA).

He looks just like Slugworth on the original "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" movie. Looks and sounds like he should be wearing a monocle and an acorn helmet.

He thinks it should be OK to abort toddlers up to the age of three. Not kidding.

Your stupidity is "maladaptive".

amos57usa

freem..I do hate the fraud and extortion used on the gulible masses since it decreass the likelyhood our species will have an evolutionarily stable strategy. The alternative, you know since I taught you, would be maladaptive.

Thanks amos, I'll consider your keen analysis while I sit in the out house and read my copy of the NYT before I wipe my "nether regions with it".

"...Yes, because it was supposed to be perfect coming out of the gate..."

THEY DIDN'T EVEN READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When are you going to admit that it takes more than party line votes to successfully move a massive piece of legislation? People warned the democrats years before the rollout that there were these issues. Good grief, stop making excuses for such incompetence.

They told you it was not a tax so they could pass it during the recession.

They told you that it would cost less than a trillion dollars.

They told you that those with existing plans would not be affected.

They told you they would save the average family money.

Shall I go on? Because I can. <-PERIOD

It is ABUNDANTLY clear that the democrats did not perform even the most basic of due diligence in crafting this abomination. They then have made conscious decisions to misrepresent the causes and effects that their rush to pass has caused.

freem..At least "dirt" isn't censored but I see you jumped to the conclusion that you wanted instead of the conclusion that some types of polling are inaccurate. A real university would have forced you to take research design class so you wouldn't make so many errors. Good thing I am here to save you.

Last time I grace you with an acknowledgement.
