Letters To Ed :-)

"We've been duped by the Republicans. Kentucky Sen. and minority leader Mitch McConnell in a news conference one day after the election, stated that the single and sole goal of the GOP over the next two years is: to make Barack Obama a single term president. What an arrogant and obnoxious goal and statement. There agenda before the election was to get votes by promising that there first goals were jobs, the economy and health care reform. It seems their goal is to grab power, not to do things for the people that are in need of jobs and or unemployment pay, health care for those that don't have it, and the people losing their homes. This is the same party that wanted the auto plants and their suppliers to go out of business. We are just coming back from what they did to this country, and now we have them back to do the same things to our country again. What a mess the next two years is going to bring to this country. Talk about partisanship." Carl D. Leow Rogers Cit

AND, supposedly 'free'man, you can stick something in your yap, and you telling ME to 'put a sock in it' is typical of your ilk. I will express the unvarnished truth to you, and you do what you like with the information. I know where you get your 'information', where I get mine is from actually READING, whereas yours comes from the usual bloviating right wing sources. I suggest you go back and read your King James fantasy book.

Da Shrill sees most Americans as commies/socialists. Like Romneybot, he of the 47%, he naively associates those of us who actually care about those less fortunate with socialism, and communism, when the opinions he expresses show a definite anti-social tendency, as he consistently identifies with the 1% of 'Americans' and hides behind his 'independence' as a 'businessman'. His strict adherence to dogma and ideology offers us NOTHING in the way of solutions, only bombast, and FALSE proselytizing. WE are not the enemy, we are Americans. I suggest choosing your heroes wisely. There is hope.

I’m doing great, in fact there is more work then we can handle.

I agree with jaxspp, just because rshill is struggling to make ends meet he blames everyone else for his failures.

If rshill needs more money he could quit his job at Wal-Mart and get a better paying one.

Now add up the cumulative deficits Jaxie, the doubling of the debt, and the dramatic extension of future liabilities.

The stock market rise is a gift to the rich from the Fed by pumping/printing, 85 billion per month. It's going to crash, much like a balloon when you******it with a pin. Marxism cannot have a thriving middle class. That's why they are killing it.

Americans need freedom, not mandates, not manipulation, not the flushing of their great grand children's futures.

Progressivism/socialism/communism is the equivalent of someone repeatedly placing their hand on a hot stove. Your people are simply fools, incapable of seeing. Incapable of learning, and not much capable of anything else. It is a religion to them, and seems to be one with you too.

I truly feel sorry for your group-think, dead, bereft of all virtue, ideological ways.

Again...You are on the wrong side. One day it'll slap the crap out of you, and you'll realize it, like a polar plunge in February.

RS, again, sorry you are worse off than you were in 2008. Many of us are better off. Perhaps if you look at you own shortcomings instead of trying to blame your faults on President Obama, you can advance yourself.

"Not all scientists agree that global warming is man-made. Nearly half of meteorologists and atmospheric science experts don’t believe that human activities are the driving force behind global warming, according to a survey by the American Meteorological Society.

The survey of AMS members found that while 52 percent of American Meteorological Society members believe climate change is occurring and mostly human-induced, 48 percent of members do not believe in man-made global warming.

Furthermore, the survey found that scientists who professed “liberal political views” were much more likely to believe in the theory of man-made global warming than those who without liberal views."

"President Barack Obama and Democrats have often touted the “97 percent” consensus among scientists that climate change is driven by human activity, primarily through the burning of fossil fuels."

Another Obama Lie? Anyone surprised?

Sounds like him trying to save commie-face. Reagan kicked his****and won the Cold War. Made him look like a piker in front of the entire world.

Might you have any commie-face maneuvers for yourself, as I make you look like a commie piker day after day?

Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving Everybody!

"ROSE: When President Reagan said, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down that wall," what did you think?

GORBACHEV (through translator): Well, this did not really impress us as it did you. (Laughter) We knew very well that the profession of President Reagan was an actor, a performer. So he did a performance. (Laughter)"

Your driveway doesn't need a name, it's simply Obama's colon.

Everything he has touched has turned to sh*t. Everything, without exception.

By the way, is it logic and common sense to have to wait ten months for a freakin' MRI?

If those other countries jumped of a cliff, would you want to as well? Didn't your Mother teach you anything? Well if she did, you unlearned it, and are now big fat, super dope.

Got any more opinion quotes from lefty loon fools? If so, keep 'em.

every man is a German, separated from his fellow men. Every man is a Berliner, forced to look upon a scar. . . . As long as this gate is closed, as long as this scar of a wall is permitted to stand, it is not the German question alone that remains open, but the question of freedom for all mankind. . . .

General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization, come here to this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"

(Ronald Reagan, address at the Brandenburg Gate, June 12, 1987)

...I'd like to say to them."

"With three weeks to go before it was delivered, the speech was circulated to the State Department and the National Security Council. Both attempted to squelch it. The assistant secretary of state for Eastern European affairs challenged the speech by telephone. A senior member of the National Security Council staff protested the speech in memoranda. The ranking American diplomat in Berlin objected to the speech by cable. The draft was naïve. It would raise false hopes. It was clumsy. It was needlessly provocative. State and the NSC submitted their own alternate drafts." (The previous from archives(dot)gov. Peter Robinson)

"Behind me stands a wall that encircles the free sectors of this city, part of a vast system of barriers that divides the entire continent of Europe. . . . Standing before the Brandenburg Gate,

He was full of ideas about what the President shouldn't say. The most left-leaning of all West Germans, the diplomat informed me, West Berliners were intellectually and politically sophisticated. The President would therefore have to watch himself. No chest-thumping. No Soviet-bashing. And no inflammatory statements about the Berlin Wall. West Berliners, the diplomat explained, had long ago gotten used to the structure that encircled them."

"Mr. President," I said, "I learned on the advance trip that your speech will be heard not only in West Berlin but throughout East Germany." Depending on weather conditions, I explained, radios would be able to pick up the speech as far east as Moscow itself. "Is there anything you'd like to say to people on the other side of the Berlin Wall?"

The President cocked his head and thought. "Well," he replied, "there's that passage about tearing down the wall. That wall has to come down. That's what I'

Where did you get that ridiculous quote you used Jaxie? Was it Wickipedia, after being heavily edited/invented by a lefty fool?

The wall was torn down by East and West Berliners. Ya' reckon Gorbachev had anything to do with it? Ya' reckon Reagan had anything to do with Gorby? And who were all those people cheering wildly in direct response to Reagan's "Tear down this wall" comment? Ya' reckon Reagan used a loud microphone? Ya reckon it was also broadcast to East and West Germans via radio? well, it was, dingbat. Ya' reckon it stirred the people on the east side, fueling their long desires to be free? Darn right it did!

"A stocky man with thick glasses, the diplomat projected an anxious, distracted air throughout our conversation, as if the very prospect of a visit from Ronald Reagan made him nervous. The diplomat gave me quite specific instructions. Almost all of it was in the negative.

"Your guys have messed up the recovery."..etc.

Your guys haven't done a g-d thing except waste taxpayer time and money. I'll bet even from your living room you try things. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, but at least you try. The GOP tries nothing, does nothing.

"My point Jaximian, is that The Communist Party USA believes in travelling down the same road as your democrats"

And the British and the Germans and the Japanese and the French and the Canadians and every other country that has national health insurance. It isn't communism, it is logic and common sense, something you and Freeman cannot learn from your living rooms.

Posted 238 days ago.

Here's history lesson #1, Freeman:

"However, even though the speech is considered one of Reagan’s most memorable and influential speeches, there is much dispute about how much influence and impact his words have had on the German people. Because the media did not focus on the speech during the time due to the unknown impact the tearing down of the wall would bring, most Americans did not know about the speech’s important phrase.[16] In an interview with Reagan himself, he recalls the East German police not allowing people to get near the wall, which prevented the citizens from experiencing the speech at all.[16] In addition, despite his famous lines that challenges Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall, there is little evidence that Reagan’s speech has had any impact on even the decision behind tearing down the wall let alone the people he addresses.[16] "

SO much for you bald-faced lie about it being a turning point in the Cold War. You are brainwashed by Hannity and Fox

I also suggest you read about the Bay of Pigs and which presidency it was developed under. HINT: It wasn't Kennedy's. Get a history book, start reading, learn.
