Terry P. Arlt of Silver Springs, Fla., formerly of Alpena, Mich., passed away Aug. 30, 2014, after a two-year battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.
Terry was born Jan. 7, 1959, in Alpena, Mich., to Lloyd and Shirley Arlt.
Terry married his beloved wife Brenda (Soltysiak) on July 7, 1990.
Surviving is his wife Brenda; three children, Wayne (Mariah) Arlt of Belliew, Mo., Cory (Jackie) Burns of New Port Richey, Fla., Kelley (John) Lozen of Lachine, Mich.; five grandchildren, Damian and Lucas Segorski, Johnathon Lozen, Mackenize Sue Arlt, and Terry Wayne Arlt.
Mr. Arlt is also survived by two brothers, Donald (MaryAnn) Arlt of Silver Springs, Fla., Bruce (Anita) Arlt of Alpena, Mich.; also three sisters, Ronda Matthes, Gail Arlt and Jody Siegert all of Alpena, Mich.; also survives him are his in-laws, Francis and Theresa White, Mike and Dawn Soltysiak and Julie Murray; several uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.
Terry was a Merchant Marine since 1990 sailing the Great Lakes. He also loved cooking and camping. He was a member of both the Eagles and Moose of the Forest.
Preceding him in death are his father Lloyd Arlt, mother, Shirley Arlt, two brothers, Wayne and Peter Arlt, and a sister Denise Kruse.
A small memorial will be held in Silver Springs, Fla., and another to be held in Alpena, Mich., in October with the date and time to be announced at a later date.
