More than 100 guests were intrigued by a recent birds of prey demonstration given at Alpena County Library.
Joe and Barb Rogers of the Wildlife Recovery Association, along with Joanne Williams of the Michigan Loon Preservation Association, provided the both.
All three have given educational programs for more 30 years. The audience was kept mesmerized by them, along with a biology student at Central Michigan University, as they walked the owls, hawks and even a pigeon (rock dove) around the room so everyone could get a close-up look at each bird.
Thunder Bay Audubon Society President Linda Klemens said, "All of the comments for the presentation were very positive and sincerely praised the dedication and exceptional knowledge and skill demonstrated by the WRA Staff to everyone present."
Klemens said many people thanked the Audubon Society and library for bringing this wonderful program to Alpena.
