ALPENA - All Saints Catholic School will be hosting its Evening of Elegance Saturday starting at 6 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m. at St. Anne's Parish Center. Tickets for the event are $45 per person, and include a prime rib dinner prepared by Ray Bock of Freemont Catering.
"This is our 11th year doing this fundraiser, which was started by John Boyk to help make tuition affordable," Principal Nicole Hatch said. "The evening is based around a dinner, dance, raffles and an auction."
This year there will be music by BK Soundtrax from 6-8 p.m., live entertainment by Bennie Poole from 9 p.m.-12 a.m., and a $25,000 super cash link raffle will be held with a top prize of $10,000.
"This evening gives our school the potential to raise $100,000, with $25,000 going to raffle winners and $75,000 going to the school to continue to keep tuition low so any student can attend school here," Hatch said. "There will be door prizes and we have a live auction taking place where we are also auctioning off three surprise items."
Some of the auction items include a condominium stay in Florida, various Christmas packages, a princess package, color tour plane rides and dinner in Mackinac.
Last year the fundraiser nearly met its goal for the school and this year Hatch is hopeful things will go just as well.
