With all the snow the region has received already this winter, we would be remiss to not remind residents to exercise caution when shoveling.
Heavy snow removal not only can be an exhausting process, it could be dangerous to your health.
Exercise these tips always when dealing with snow:
* Wear proper clothing such as gloves and slip resistant boots.
* Try not to let snow build up too high in any one location.
* If you feel muscles begin to tighten, take a break.
* Stretch before beginning snow shoveling.
Shoveling is a strenuous exercise, so people need to remember that. Pace yourself, dress for the weather and remember that you're not Superman - these are all useful reminders before heading outside to tackle the driveway.
Be smart and be careful this winter.
