Clorissa May Sumerix and Daniel Aaron Briseno exchanged their wedding vows July 13, 2013 at the Community of Christ Church in Lachine. Kendall Sumerix, father of the bride, performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Kendall and Melony Sumerix of Lachine. The groom is the son of Paul Briseno of Dallas, Ga., and Pamela and George Loyer Jr. of Mikado.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was friend Rose Wojda. Bridesmaids were Kelli Peterson, friend of the bride, Tiffany Bates, cousin of the bride and Amanda Sumerix, cousin of the bride. Attending the groom was best man Michael Briseno, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Josh Geiersbach, Carl Larsen and Marshal Westfall, all friends of the groom. Ushers were Andrew Sumerix, brother of the bride, and Christopher Villarreal, cousin of the bride.

A reception was held in their honor at the Hillman Community Center.

Clorissa is a 2009 graduate of Alpena High School and a 2013 graduate of Michigan State University. Daniel is a 2008 graduate of Alcona High School and a 2013 graduate of Michigan State University. They currently reside in Lachine and will be spending their honeymoon in Cozumel in December.
