HIILLMAN-The Hillman football team earned a 48-7 win over Hale, while wearing their new pink jerseys to support breast cancer awareness on Friday night.
It was the last game of the regular season at home for Hillman seniors Brenden Zimmer, Mike Klein, Kory Keegan, and Shane Holford.
"Hopefully we have a shot to make the playoffs, and the guys played a really good game. All of the boys got in and played, which was great to see on a cold weather night like tonight," Hillman coach Bill Koenig said.
Hillman finished the regular season at 5-4 and will find out Sunday if it earned a playoff berth.
Owendale 42, Posen 6
OWENDALE-Posen ended regular season play on Friday with a 42-6 loss against Owendale-Gagetown.
The Vikings' two game losing streak at the end of the season put them at 4-5 to end the regular season.
Posen seemed prime for success after a three game winning streak saw them outscore their opponents 173-34.
Unfortunately injuries to key players hurt the team's chance of success late in the season.
The Vikings could still make the playoffs, depending on their placement in the playoff bracket. The Vikings will find out if they made the playoffs on Sunday.
No scores were reported for Rogers City, Atlanta or Onaway.
