Senior Master Sgt. Larry Gagliano explains how wireless video technology can be used by United States Armed Forces to gain a bird’s eye view of their surrounding area via a downlink from an aerial camera. The camera platform can be as simple as a 30-inch wingspan, hand-launched plane or as massive as a B-52. The same technology can also be used to help government agencies when responding to a disaster or other emergency situation. His demonstration of the modular tactical system was one of many during an open house at the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, held Friday.
