Steve Constant, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration physical science technician, helps load equipment for a weather bouy onto a boat in the Thunder Bay River Thursday. The bouy will be placed southwest of Thunder Bay Island, near the wreck of the Montana, he said. It’s part of the Real-time Coastal Observation Network, and once it’s in place, the data can be viewed at www.glerl.noaa.gov/res/recon.
