TRAVERSE CITY-Ninety seconds proved to be the undoing of the Alpena girls soccer team on Tuesday against Traverse City West.
Trailing 1-0 with a minute and half remaining in the first half, the Wildcats allowed two more goals to the Titans in that time frame and ultimately fell 5-0.
The game was early in the second half due to unplayable field conditions.
"We played great for 38 minutes, but once they scored those two goals, it kind of took the wind out of our sails," Alpena coach Tim Storch said.
Alpena (3-4, 2-3 Big North) will host Traverse City Central on Thursday.
