Really old money

PNC Bank employees Angela Krajniak and Cathy Juchartz, left, and Christine Witulski and Danyeal Dorr from the The Besser Museum for Northeast Michigan admire old currency and coins that were found in an old vault by Krajniak. A $20 bill in the display has the name Alpena printed on it. According to Witulski community’s would order money from the federal government and when is was distributed it would have the city’s name on it. In the old days Alpena was known for being a federal reserve. The money, other banking and financial artifacts are on display at the museum and the public is encouraged to visit and learn more about Alpena and its founding fathers.
