The ACC Chamber Ensemble and the Collegiate Singers will present their fall semester concert Thursday. The performance will begin in Granum Theatre at 7:30 p.m. The groups are conducted by MaryAnn Hubbard and Charlene Matthews.
The Chamber Ensemble will perform instrumental works of all style periods and genres, including "Three Bagatelles" (Ivar Lunde, Jr.), "Water Music Suite" (George F. Handel), "Suita Giocosa" (Ctirad Kohoutek) and "Rondo" (Carl Maria vonWeber).
They will round out their part of the program with some seasonal music. Members of the ensemble are: flute Rose Burke, Marty Cantleberry, Abbie Ferris and Lois Marshall; clarinet Diana Standen; horn Virginia Hulsey and Jaimee Reynolds; baritone Shaughn Reynolds; trombone John Schubert; tuba Charlene Matthews; and cello Jon Butler.
The Collegiate Singers members are Jeanette Farrell, Sue Ellen Jones, Michelyn Petersen, Lisa Rhea, Sandi Schmidt, Elaine Thompson, Katherine Wollan, Jeffrey Robinette, John Schubert, Andrew Schultz and Jere Standen. They are accompanied by Susan Armstrong.
They will be performing "Cantate Domino" (Earlene Rentz), "Sing for Joy!" (Handel/Spevacek), "Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind" (John Rutter), "Variations on Deck The Hall" (Ryan O'Connell) and "Gloria Hodie" (Dvorak/Schram).
The public is invited to the concert and there is no admission charge. The auditorium doors will open at 7 p.m. for audience seating.
