Four downstate residents were arrested following an incident at an Alpena business on Thursday.
Officers from the Alpena Police Department responded to a report of a larceny from a motor vehicle in the parking lot of Latitudes Tavern. A witness had called and reported seeing four people take an item out of the back of a pickup truck. The suspects were located as they drove north on Chisholm Street.
Officers initiated a traffic stop in the suspect vehicle and subsequently arrested all four occupants who were from the Saginaw area. The suspects were lodged at the Alpena County Jail for larceny from a motor vehicle. The driver also was charged with operating while intoxicated and another passenger was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Midland County. The stolen property was recovered.
